THANKS A MILLION GALA CELEBRATING 15 YEARS
Fifteen years and $1.2 million in grants later, Thanks Mom & Dad Fund has supported programs and services for older Georgians and caregivers. Over the years, we have funded more than 150 grants
to serve thousands of seniors during the annual grant cycle. This year, in addition to the annual grants, Thanks Mom & Dad Fund has tested new ways of delivering services with Senior Center Innovation Grants and hosted an Evolving Workforce forum as well as coalesced partners to address the critical aging workforce shortages. The fund has worked tirelessly to ll the gaps in programs that seniors and caregivers face and to build the capacity of network providers to serve. It has been a very busy but fruitful 15 years and we could not have done it without you.
Thanks Mom & Dad Fund exists today to honor parents, grandparents, and mentors by supporting programs and services for older adults and caregivers. By 2030 there will be more than 70 million older adults, with those 85+ growing at the fastest rate. Because of the demographic shift ad shrinking public dollars, programs already have long waiting lists for services such as meals on wheels, adult day care, and much needed respite care to name a few.
Your tax-deductible contributions have helped to build the Thanks Mom & Dad Fund® and they continue to help. We promise to continue our work, to raise money to make grants, to promote wellness and independence, and improve the quality of life in the name of those who inspired our lives.
