measure all different materials included
1 in a certain category. For example,
2 takeoff quantity of concrete in the
Frame element.
To create Material takeoff for
concrete:
1. Click on the View tab in the Ribbon
2. Go to Create Panel tool, select
Schedule and click Material
Takeoff.
3. In the New Material Takeoff dialog
box, in Category selection click
Floor.
4. In Phase, choose New
B Construction then click OK.

Material: Name

Then click OK.
6. A Floor Material Takeoff schedule

using the Edit function at the
Properties Pallet as shown in the

This book contains the basic introduction of Autodesk Revit by using a simple step
by step guidance to produce a building model using Autodesk Revit software.
Autodesk Revit software is one of the authorize BIM (Building Information
Modelling) software that used by the professionals in the architecture,
engineering, and construction industry. The approach applied in this book are to
guide the beginners of Autodesk Revit to produce a simple project using basic
step by step guidance from the first step until the end. This book contains a
guidance to build an architecture model, a structure model, and a project
quantification for a simple building project.
Ernisuhani Mohamad Zamri is a lecturer at Politeknik Sultan Azlan
Shah, Perak. The author holds a Master of Science In Green
Architecture from UiTM and Bachelor in Science of Housing, Building
and Planning (Interior Design) with Honors from USM.
Khairul Anuar Abdul Manap is a lecturer at Politeknik Sultan Azlan
