Message
Once again, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to one
of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Johor Darul Ta’zim
that is staged at one of the top-rated golf courses in the
country, The Els Club Desaru Coast – Ocean & Valley.
With the kind blessings and consent from our royal patron Tunku
Panglima Johor, His Highness Tunku Abdul Rahman ibni Sultan
Ibrahim, Johor Golf Tourism Association (JGTA) supported by
Tourism Malaysia (under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture,
Malaysia) and Tourism Johor is once again organising the 5th edition
of Tourism Johor Golf Tournament 2022 for Tunku Panglima Johor
Challenge Trophy.
Due to the overwhelming response we received from the golf
fraternities ever since the inception of this tournament in 2017
it is now bigger, bolder and merrier as for the first time it is held
over two days at two immaculate golf courses, Ocean and Valley,
gathering nearly 160 golfers coming from many parts of the country,
particularly Johor, including international golfers from the UK,
Australia, France, and Singapore.
To make this year’s event more exciting and merrier we are also
featuring a Tourism Johor Golf Festival showcasing nearly 40
exhibitors comprising local SMEs as well as golf clubs, hospitality
and tours companies. The festival is open to the public and it offers
many attractive and exciting performances and shows for families
and kids.
This tournament would not have been possible without the strong
commitment, support and participation from Tourism Johor, Tourism
Malaysia and all our valued partners and sponsors. There are so
many dedicated parties whose participation and sponsorships have
contributed largely to the overall success of the tournament. I take
this opportunity to thank all our Hole-in-One, Novelty & On-the-
Green Challenge partners, as well as our sponsors for making this
event a more successful and memorable one.
