Thanksgiving Comic Strips Activity
Purpose: To use your creativity and drawing skills to illustrate 3 separate & different comic strips Scenarios
Instructions: For this assignment, you are to create a minimum of three separate five-seven frame (max is 7 frames—these are textboxes that you
create) comic strip based on A Thanksgiving Family Dinner Scenario, a Humorous Scenario, and a Computer/Technology Related Scenario. You may use the
Internet, if necessary, to find appropriate pictures, but you will likely find all you need in the clipart gallery in MS PowerPoint or Clips on the Web.
The comic strips should depict the 3 Scenarios: Thanksgiving Family Dinner, Humorous, and Computer/Technology Related; it also needs to illustrate
and make a point about these 3 topics—be creative and detailed, but all work must be school appropriate (try to have a positive outcome or moral for
each scenario).
Change your Paper Orientation to Landscape. Your textboxes should be 2 inches wide and 2 inches tall (Insert tab – Text group –Text box). After you
draw the first square, copy and paste the boxes across your page, this will ensure that all boxes are the same. After all of the boxes are drawn, be sure
to center them or else they might hang off the slide. Use Print Preview to make sure you can see & READ all of the information in textboxes.
Be sure to put a title and your name & period in a text box above the comic strip. Think of a creative title and use lots of pictures, & especially
designs/AUTOSHAPES. Be sure to show the background setting (trees, buildings, people, or furniture, etc.). Also use callouts for dialogue (in shapes
section). Use the crop tool to crop off any unnecessary parts. Check your spelling and grammar!
Save as Thanksgiving Comic Strip followed by your name & period in your PROJECTS folder. To get full credit, activity must be completed by you in class
& not at home. Thanksgiving Project must be completed before Thanksgiving break.
