Course Standard 6 – BMA-IBT-6. Students will use professional oral, written, and digital
communication skills to create, express, and interpret information and ideas.

BMA-IBT-6.1. The student will exhibit appropriate business (oral, written, and digital)
communication skills needed in the workplace to facilitate information and communication.
BMA-IBT-6.5. The student will use presentation software, create and deliver simple, clear and
compelling presentations effectively to target audiences.

Background: We all have needs and wants. Our needs are based on what is necessary to survive; our
wants are primarily directed by feelings of what we like and things we wish we could have. Share 5 Big
Traits handout with students. Have a class discussion about any traits students are not familiar with.

Directions: Identify your five (5) unique personality traits. Create a MS PowerPoint presentation
comparing your personality traits to your favorite automobile. Your presentation should be creative and
show a direct correlation between your personality as determined by your needs, wants, and feelings.
Follow the guidelines listed below:

 Slide show should have no more than 8 slides
o 1 title slide to include activity name (pick a unique title for this slide if you which), student
name, subject name & period, teachers’ name, and date; photos (photo of self & automobile)
o 1 slide to identify your automobile to include (5) attributes of automobile that match your
personality, photo of automobile
o 5 slides that identify your five (5) personality traits (photo of trait)
o 1 slide for resources; photo (list all websites where you located your information)
o Reminder: Each slides must include colorful fonts (same font), transitions and graphics, photos;
creative, etc.

 There is a 3-minutes slide show limit; stick to it! Read clearly and quickly. Present a profession
document (use the same color on each slide but in varied shades/styles/tints)
