MEMORANDUM
You Read,
Kentuckians
Eat
WOULD IT make you happy to know that the magazine you will be reading before a bright fire this winter can be bringing at the same time a measure of that warmth and happiness to little children in the mountains of Kentucky? W ould it make you glad to feel that the periodical which gives you helpful ideas in rearing your own young- sters can also mean for the moth- ers there instruction in sanitation, sewing, and canning, so that their children can be healthier, too?
Your magazines can do just that if you will subscribe to them through the Central Office and ask your friends to do so. W e have as our ultimate goal the financing of all of AOn's work in Kentucky by commissions on magazines. A little
quick arithmetic will prove that one subscription paying 25c in commis- sion from each of our 8,500 alumnae would mean $2,125. W e also re- ceive many orders from friends of AOn's, so the potentialities for realizing our goal are there; all we need is the education' of our alumnae to sending in their sub- scriptions through the fraternity. Commissions made on orders from members of an alumnae chapter are applied on the chapter's National Work Quota. This year a commis- sion of $1.00 or more on subscrip- tions sent in by a member-at-large
will be credited to her as payment of the annual donation of $1 to Social Service Work requested from each of our alumnae.
Any magazine printed can be ordered through the Fraternity Magazine Agency. Renewals, spe- cial rates and group offers made by the publishers are available. D o your birthday shopping this easy way and let your gift to a friend be a gift to the Kentucky children, too. Let your joy in read- ing be accompanied by joy in giv- ing!
