The Teddy Bear Tale By Ellie C. and Hayden S.
There once was a little boy named Timmy, who had a little teddy bear. He named the teddy bear Jimmy. Timmy and Jimmy did everything together. The two of them would eat together, sleep together, and play games together.
One day Timmy went to the zoo, and as always he took Jimmy with him. Timmy saw a bunch of animals like zebras, monkeys, flamingos, hippos and giraffes!
After walking a bit, Timmy had to go to the bathroom. He did not want Jimmy to get dirty in the bathroom, so he decided it would be best to leave him outside. After Timmy was done going to the bathroom he went back to grab Jimmy, but Jimmy was gone!
Little Timmy looked everywhere for Jimmy, he kept telling himself “He is not really gone! He has got to be around here somewhere!” He went back to all the places that he had visited before, he even checked places that he had not yet visited.
He checked every little nook and cranny just incase, but after all that, he found nothing. Timmy could not believe it, he would not believe it! There was no way that jimmy was actually gone!
After that, Timmy started to get angry. He started crying and throwing a tantrum. He started to run around hitting the things around him and started to cause a ruckus.
He knew where he left Jimmy, “why was he not there!” Timmy thought. Timmy got so overwhelmed with all of these emotions, it made him feel like he was about to explode with anger!
It was starting to get late, Timmy was tired from checking everywhere for Jimmy. Timmy’s mom said “Come on Timmy, it is starting to get late we need to get home for dinner.”
Timmy begged his mom “please just one more check! I will do anything, I promise!” Timmy’s mom let out a sigh “No Timmy, we are going to go home right now!” Timmy let out a huge sigh and went with his mom to the car.
Timmy was silent the whole ride home. When they got home timmy’s mother went into the kitchen to make dinner. After about twenty-five minutes, dinner was done.
Timmy’s mom put a plate of food in front of him, for him to eat, but no matter what Timmy's mom tried she could not get him to eat. She tried to convince him with dessert, or with a new toy, but no matter what she offered timmy would still not eat.
Timmy’s mom started to tell him about the importance about letting some things go. Timmy’s mom said that if he was this sad that meant that the time he spent with Jimmy was really special. She said that you have to take the good with the bad.
All of these words made Timmy have a different look on this situation. Timmy finally accepted the fact that Jimmy was gone, it was sad that he was gone, but with time Timmy will be able to get over it.
After a few months had passed, Timmy was at the toy store with his mom. He was looking at the stuffed animals when he saw a teddy bear. He picked up the teddy bear and said “Your name will be Jimmy the second!”

I had dealt with grief when I lost two of my dogs, it was very sad and I had a hard time, but I got through it eventually.
