Maximo Anywhere User Guide

INTRODUCTION

The MAXIMO Anywhere application gives you the capability to perform daily work management tasks from a mobile device.
While on the go, you can create, view and modify work orders for assets and locations from the mobile device.

In a connected environment, you have real-time access to data. Your request for data is sent to the application server and
the required data is then downloaded to the device. Similarly, once you have completed tasks/work orders, the data can be
uploaded. You are also able to complete tasks related to work management offline and upon availability of a connection, all
your transactions are uploaded to the application server.

Work List and Additional data
Both the work list and lookup data (additional data) is data that is stored on the mobile device.

Work list data is all the data that you require to perform tasks that have been planned for you. The work list data can be
frequently modified and updated.

Lookup data is data that you might use as a reference while working on a work order. The additional data is not used as
frequent and is read-only. An example of additional data is the asset number or any lookup data.
The type and amount of work list and additional data is set by your system administrator by security group.

Both the work list and lookup data can be refreshed using menu options available on the mobile device (discussed later in
this guide).

This manual describes the steps necessary to perform the work management transactions on work orders downloaded or any
newly created (on the device) work orders.
