President's Report
Kesavan Yogesparan
It’s been 25 years of service by Rotary Club of Sentul and I’m honored to be the President
of the Club on its 25th.
Over the years Rotary Club of Sentul has been practicing a systematic club structure,
adopted from the Rotary International procedures and standard practices. Managing the
club using all these system makes the club’s maneuvering a lot simpler.
I believe that a strong club will effectively the source around to help and benefit the
community around. A healthy club will enable all the members to be in full function to
perform their parts using the leverages that the Rotary system made ready – the
organization structures, worldwide networks, branding, recognition and legacy, continuous
and continual learning mechanism and many more.
My journey as the Club President started with numerous trainings organized by the Rotary
District Team, in addition Assistant Governor Sunthar Raj guided all along through our
Group 8 Presidents.
Club’s Strategic Plan
Rotary Club of Sentul’s Strategic Plan is planned and continued from the Rotary Year
2021/2022. The 2-year plan on improving club’s health and performance were planned
together with IPP Geetah Vadivelu (President RY 2021/2022) and continued for term RY
2022/2023 with minor adjustments.
Attached with this report are the Strategic Plan for 1 year using SWOT analysis.
Club Projects
Rotary Year 2022/2023 for Rotary Club of Sentul started with preparations and arrangements
of the Club’s 25th Anniversary and Installation of Board of Directors of Rotary Year
2022/2023.
Club’s sustainable project – Sentul Success System has been in progress since it is started
during Rotary term 2021/2022, other than that another club’s signature project – Eye Project:
Gift Of Sight has been continued with training of eye screening and Cataract eye operation in
MAIWP.
Rotary Club of Sentul’s annual project: Money and Me, a training project for school students
on financial management literacy and Entrepreneurship continued for the 4th year. The project
is funded and organized by The Edge Foundation.
Membership
Club size is now 21 members with additional 1 member inducted on August 2022. The club is
facing some manpower (members) shortage in proportional to the projects the club managing.
The club via project leader has come out with proposal of establishing ‘Project Members’ in
order to support the ongoing and future projects in term of work force, administration and
technical support.
In any club and organization, numbers of members are crucial to determine the height of
performance that a club can achieve. In order to attract new memberships, few programs are
planned to promote the club around the community. Understanding the economic downtrend
and bearish global market condition, payment of monthly membership was given some
attention and through few analyses and survey among the members, the Monthly Membership
Fee was reduced to its minimum value and now since club meetings are done physically,
membership dues will be revised to enable the club to bear the meeting costs.
I believe recruiting new members is every club member’s responsibility. Continuous promotion
needs to be done and club visibility is very important to achieve that where the functionality of
club Public Image comes in.
Club’s Giving and TRF
Rotary Club of Sentul committed on contributing to The Rotary Foundation and over the
years annual contribution is done to The Rotary Foundation. Post-Pandemic saw some
decline on the amount of the contributions; however, I believe for Rotary Year 2022/2023
the contribution will be increased.
The Rotary Foundation Director will be continuously brief the members on the importance
of contributions to The Rotary.
Service above self,

Relationship with Interact Clubs and Rotaract Club of Rotary Club of Sentul been very
mild during the Pandemic season whereby almost no activities being carried out for near 2
years.
Starting of the Rotary Year 2022/2023, the club tried establishing the communication with
the Interact and the Rotaract Club of Sentul but only Interact Club of SMK La Salle Sentul
Kuala Lumpur were able to be engaged.
Rotary Club of Sentul’s Rotaract Club is community based and existing members of the
club are no more interested on the club and some of the members were uncontactable.
On the positive update, Rotary Club of Sentul were able to contact the Interactors of SMK
La Salle and a meeting were arranged on 3rd August 2022.
Rotary Club of Sentul on its Club Meeting agreed to de-register the existing Rotaract Club
and to continue plan for new Rotaract Club and also to plan and continue with the
activities for Interactor Club of SMK La Salle Sentul.
An Interactor also attended the club’s 25th Anniversary and Installation dinner held on
World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur on 6th August 2022.

Fellowship Director's Report
PP Peramis Rao
Post-Pandemic allows physical meetings and activities, hence numerous Fellowships are planned
and the members are excited about it.
President Kesavan is mindful to get the members to have mutual trust and friendship among us
and to spend at least one fellowship per month.
The objective to encourage fellowship, our mission inline with the Rotary International’s mission
– “… provide service to others, not matter who you are, regardless of race, religion and gender.
• Foster camaraderie amongst members and Rotarians worldwide.
• Focus on humanity and service, the cornerstone of Rotary International.
• Fellowship and global understanding, building lifelong relationships.
• Diversity, to connect with wide perspective.
• Inclusivity, you, me & everyone has the opportunity without being prejudice.
• Ethics, honoring our commitment by practicing the Four-Way Test.
• Build on the strength of each member, and respect and honoring each other.
To-date club activities are more focused on the Club’s 25th Anniversary and Installation held on
6th August 2022. Fellowship had is more to after meeting hang outs whereby numerous meetings
were held on the 25th and Installation planning and discussions.
Nevertheless, a Fellowship night was held on Malaysia’s 65th Merdeka Eve in Royal Selangor Club,
Bukit Kiara.
More fellowship outings are planned and to be done on the coming months.
