Founded in 1972 in a former loft apartment by Sol J. Fleischman, Jr., AIA and the late Eduard Garcia, AIA, the firm has grown and prospered throughout the last
four decades to become one of the largest and most experienced locally owned architecture, planning and interior design firms in the region.
FleischmanGarcia has spent the last four decades earning an enviable reputation for creating and delivering superior architecture, planning, and interior design
services for the built environment where people live, learn, work, heal, worship, and play.

SOL FLEISCHMAN, JR., AIA, NCARB

Chairman and CEO
Sol is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of FleischmanGarcia with
more than 46 years of experience in planning and architectural design. Sol provides
the broad design direction for the firm and he works in close collaboration with many
of the firm’s clients. Sol has extensive design experience in nearly every design style,
specializing in modern, mediterranean, contemporary, caribbean, and neo-classical.

KEVIN SMITH, AIA, LEED® AP

Senior Vice President
Kevin is the senior vice president of FleischmanGarcia, with more than 39 years
of experience in planning and architectural design. Kevin has special expertise in
buildings with alternative energy systems and sustainable design and is a LEED-
certified professional.

DEBBIE GRAVES

Licensed Interior Designer and Space Planner
Debbie is an associate principal of FleischmanGarcia and manages the Sarasota
office. She has more than 37 years of professional experience in interior design. Over
her 12 years with FleischmanGarcia, her focus has been creating spaces that promote
productivity and efficiency. Her long-standing experience in interior design, results in
perfecting interior palettes that flow with the varied architectural styles.

DR. MISCH RECONSTRUCTIVE DENTAL SURGERY CENTER,
RENOVATIONS AND ADDITION

SARASOTA, FL

Growth of his dental surgery practice led Dr. Misch to relocate his business to a 4,000 sq. ft. single story building in Sarasota, Florida. The project consisted
of 2,500 sq. ft. of renovated space and a 1,500 sq. ft. addition. To solve the problem of parking for this contemporary building, which faces a busy road,
a parking lot was built on the north side of the building. This not only solved the problem for patients, but also kept the unique look of the building.
The Dental Surgery Center consists of two consultation suites, two examination areas, two prosthetic treatment rooms, and one procedure room, along with
photo, x-ray and developing areas. Ancillary areas typical to this suite are work rooms, medical records, staff areas and patient waiting areas.
Special care was taken to ensure that the facility was completely accessible and user-friendly, including pre-design meetings with customer representatives.
The building was sited and planned for future growth of the administration and warehouse functions. A curved glass canopy provides for covered drop-off
and pick-up, and several accessible parking spaces were provided under roof for the customer’s convenience.

Growth of his dental surgery practice led Dr. Misch to relocate his business to a 4,000 sq.
ft. single story building in Sarasota, Florida. The project consisted The addition to this facility
incorporated a classroom/dental lab, a full dental clinic housing 12 operatories, two X-ray
suites, panorex room, student locker areas, clean rooms, sterilization room, infection control
room, storage, offices, and administrative areas. A reception area, lobby and separate entrances
for students and patients completed the program. The clinic floor was raised for advanced
computer and technology hook-ups.
