We call this as success as we believe that this is the progressive rsalizalisn sf our goals. We firmly believe that apart from the citizens, the government agencies are also obliged to take part in our goals and rgnder help whenever possible. Thanks to the initiative taken by our Chairpersoq Shrimati Usha Gokani, we were able to meet the Honour.able }vfinister Shrimati Jayantiben Mehta. The Honourable Mnister appreciated our efforts in preparing the beautification plan and we are grateful to her for sanctioning a sum ofRs. l0 Lakhs forthe same. To form P.A.C.T. (Peddar, Altamount, Carmichael, Tardeo) is the further proofofour collective efforts in improving the environmental conditions in the area. We effectivelyparticipatedinForum and AGNI (actionforGood GovernanceandNetworkingin India) and we had a wonderful opportunity of exchanging our views and action plans with them. We are thankful to all our members, goverrrment agencies in giving a helping hand in our action trl plans. 1. During the year, we have received from IWs. Shanudeep Pvt. Ltd. a donation of Rs. 50,000/- for our beautification project - we have installed 3 benches at strategic locations for our Senior Citizens. We have 107 Life Members so far, but we would like many more to make awareness in ourlocality, We had organised a meeting under the programme "Meet Your Candidate" prior to the MunicipalElections to enable Citizens to have direct interaction with the candidates contesting elections ofour area. Evaluation ofthe implications ofthe proposed construction ofthe skyscrapers sanctioned bythe SRAat Tardeo and prevention/minimization ofdifficulties to the residents ofour area. Beautification plan for creating small green patches preferably with water fountains and decorative lighting in 3 - 4 strategic locations. Implementation ofgarbage segregation and waste disposal in eco friendly manner.
