GATORHAWK 102 By RAEGAN HORRELL Gator Media Staff Writer ineteen-year-old Anarely Nunez is a senior at East Columbus JuniorSenior High School. Her favorite class is art, where she learns and tries new styles and mediums. Though Nunez loves art, her strongest subjects are social studies and Spanish. Her weakest subject is math. She said her favorite memories while at East will include all of the time spent with her friends since her freshman year. Dr. Anthony Martin is her favorite teacher. “He’s a nice person,” she said. Someone who inspires Nunez is a K-Pop idol named Park Jimin. “He taught me how to love myself,” she said. Nunez said that the person who has helped her the most at East is biology instructor Mariel Sellers. “She helped me with my grades,” Nunez said. One of her accomplishments is earning a high honor for her artwork at Celebrate the Arts. Nunez plans on attending college after graduation. She wants to study cosmetology. Her favorite music is K-Pop. Her favorite movie is The Help and favorite television show is The Glory. TikTok is her favorite app while her favorite video game is Super Mario Galaxy. A hidden talent that Nunez has is her ability to draw well. Something that Nunez thinks people would be surprised to learn about her is she is learning to speak Italian and Korean.
