Sub Topic 1

There are many ways to reduce the risk
while using digital technology like not
having the same password for every
website. You can also use a VPN to
make your connection more private,
keep a good antivirus on your
computer, and keep an eye out for
phishing scams. Which is electronically
trying to gain someone's personal
information.

Sub Topic 2

Jane and Luke have a school project to work on. Jane needs
to complete some research using the internet. Luke does
not have internet access at home and doesn’t have any
open hours at school to complete the research. Jane
explains his situation to the teacher.

An example of digital access
would be having the ability
to use digital technology like
a phone or a computer. And
having internet connection
from an internet service
provider like xfinity or at&t.

Inappropriate Digital Access:
▫ Low quality hardware and connections in different

school buildings and/or districts
▫ Limited access for special needs students
▫ Lack of appropriate websites
▫ Schools have outdated hardware and wiring for

internet access.

A special education student is having trouble finding keys on a keyboard and
doing research. The teacher still has this students project due at the same
time as everyone else’s without any assistance. This is an inappropriate use of
digital access.

▫ Appropriate the teacher should have had another student who was
finished help the special needs student and given her extra time to finish
the assignment.
