ICT tips for everyone working at the ISE

Adding the ISE school calendars in
Outlook and Outlook webmail

Powered by

Hi there!
This guide will describe how to add the ISE primary and secondary campus
activities calendar to your Outlook. If you have never logged in or perhaps
don’t know what this is please contact ICT first. They will help you to get you
set up. In this guide we will use 2 versions of Outlook:

1. From the Zenworks Application Window, open
‘Webmail’ which will launch in your default
browser.

2. It will start your browser and take
you to the Outlook log in window.

3. You can also reach the webmail by typing
‘mail.spvozn.nl’ in the browser’s address bar
on any computer (e.g. at home).

1. From the Zenworks Application Window, open
‘Outlook’ which will launch the Outlook appli-
cation.

2. You will be automatically logged in with your credentials.

The webmail offers less (mostly office related) functionality but will be fine for
most users. If you work in a office all day the Outlook application gives you
more options which you perhaps find useful.
Please note that you only have to add a calendar in one of the Outlook op-
tions as it will be added in the other automatically.

2

1. In the left column rightclick on the word
‘Favorites’

2. When you do you will see a box appear saying
‘Add public folder to favorites’. Click
on the text.

3. Next, a window appears showing you
the public folders we have. These public
folder contain the calendars for the
different locations of SPVOZN. We of
course will choose ISE Campus and un-
fold that by clicking the little arrow
on the left of it.

4. Once unfolded you will see the 2
calendars we offer. If you wish to
add the primary calendar please
first unfold it by clicking the little
arrow first.

The secondary calendar is ready for
use.

Now, let’s add them to your own calendar view

5. To add the calendar of your choice (primary or secondary) please singleclick
the agenda and finally click on the star at the top of the page

If you wish to add both calendars then do these steps for every calendar.
Once you have followed all steps the calendar(s) of your choice should be visi-
ble in the calendar section under ‘Other calendars’
Clicking on a calendar will turn it on or off.

4

To add the calendars to the Outlook application please follow the following
steps:
1. Click on the 3 dots at the bottom of the left column.

2. In the list that appears select ‘Folders’ . This will turn the left column into a
so called folderview. No worries, this is supposed to do this.

3. Once this folderview is enabled please scroll down to the bottom to find the
‘Public Folders’ (hence the folder view). By clicking the little arrow on the left
you can unfold the folder to reveal it’s contents.

5

4. Once unfolded you will find the following folders and items in the public
folder. The two calendars for the ISE are found in the ISE Campus Folder
(unfold first again). The Primary Campus Activities is in it’s own folder and
needs to be unfolded first too.

5. The final step we need to do is to choose the calendar we wish to add and
rightclick it. In the menu that appears we need to select ‘Add to favorites’ If
you wish to add both calendars please do this step for each calendar you wish
to add. Remember that the calendars you can add are the two that are pictu-
red in the red rectangle frame in step 4 of this manual.

6

6. That’s it. If you have followed all the steps correctly the calendar(s) are
added successfully. If you look in the calendar section of Outlook you will find
your newly added calendar(s) in the ‘Other Calendars’ section. Checking the
box in front of a calendar turns it on or off.
