Types of Punctuation

Period

● Complete stop
● Used at the end of the sentence
● Ex: “My favorite color is yellow.”

Question Mark

● Used when writing a question or asking something
● Ex: “Can I use the bathroom?”

Exclamation Point

● Used to write strong emotions
● Ex: “Wow, I love ice cream!”

Comma

● Indicates a pause in a sentence
● Used to list things
● Ex: “I need milks, eggs, and cheese.”
