COVER LETTER - Do’s and Don’ts

Discuss and classify the recommendations about how to write a cover letter below under DO ( )

1. a) Adapt and customize each letter to the position you are applying for and the Company
you are applying to.

The Cover letter: Format and Content

A typical cover letter consists of three or four paragraphs. Indicate in which paragraph on the next page you
would include the information below.

a) Demonstrate your knowledge of the company by including a reference to the organization. By
acknowledging their mission/reputation/ accomplishments, you form a positive connection from
the start.

b) Describe how you meet the employer’s requirements by providing evidence of your related skills
and experiences
