DEFINITION OF PUBLIC SPEAKING What is Public Speaking? Basically, it' s a live presentation made to an audience in a structured or deliberate manner. Public speeches can focus on a wide range of subjects. The speech' s objective may be to inform, amuse, or persuade the audience (Spencer, 2021). Public speaking also commonly understood as the formal or face-to-face talking of a single person to a group of listeners. The topic must be relevant to the listeners' expectations and areas of interest while also taking into account their prior knowledge.
