On Wednesday, 09th January
2019, Departmental Trainers’ ,
went for a tour around Muscat
to discover the beauty of Oman.
The trip was amazing and we had the opportunity to discover several
beautiful and historical places of Oman and it's culture. We visited Al
Alam Palace , Muscat Gate Museum & Muttrah Fort. There are a
fantastic stories behind all of this historic milestone in Oman.
However, I trust that DT's colleagues have gained a great local
knowledge & better understanding of it.

you commit to accomplishing certain outcomes and you make a plan
for doing so . We conducted a fantastic training for our colleagues in
order to ensure that they are ready to set their own goals for 2019

to deliver it in the optimum manner every time.
New menu training Tomato Restaurant

Indulge in our impeccably-exquisite creation at Tomato Italian
Restaurant with the Newly crafted menu. Our colleagues at
Tomato Restaurant had a fabulous training for the new menu by
chef Luigi Ferraro.

From American red cross lifeguard certification course our lifeguard
gain the skills and confidence necessary for providing care and
instruction when our guest and members needed most.
Facilitated by our Risk Manager , Mr Younis Al Wahibi
Food safety law requires businesses to provide food handlers with
food hygiene training which teaches them how to apply proper
handling, storage and cleaning techniques. These good practices
prevent customers from suffering food poisoning and allergic
reactions, help minimize food waste, and boost workplace efficiency.

My name is Peter , I am working in Room Service, learning new things is
my passion. I want to gain as much as I can of knowledge from different
departments. I set my training map for two years in order to do my on
job training in all departments. Currently, I completed my cross training
in Purchasing department and moving to the my next step to Trader
Vic’s Restaurant .

Familiarization Visit by
German University
On Thursday 07th March
2019 , Around 22 students
from German University
visited Intercontinental
Muscat in order to have a
first-hand experience of
the hospitality sector work
environment and to
familiarize the different
departments and functions
of the hotel through rotating them in different departments to have a full
understanding of the hotel operations. The student had a fantastic first-hand
experience from various departments such as: Housekeeping, Front Office, Food
& Beverage Service, Kitchen, Sales & Marketing.
