Model Seder

The 7th grade boys were privileged to host guests from Bais Ezra Day Hab for a Pre-Pesach Model Seder.
Together, the participants modeled all the elements of a seder in our beautifully decorated Multi Purpose
Room. Everyone enjoyed the camaraderie while drinking grape juice, dipping their vegetables in salt water,
reciting the Mah Nishtanah, and singing other parts of the Hagadah. Special thanks to Rabbi Finkelstein and
Rabbi Bernstein, 7th grade Rebbes, for leading us in this incredible chesed experience and to Mrs. Ayelet Katz for
planning this beautiful event!

At YCQ: No one Eats Alone!

This week YCQ had its second annual No one Eats Alone Lunch sponsored by the Mix it Up Club. Everyone in the JHS was
given a table number where they sat together with kids from all different grades. At the table they were given strips of paper
to write down ways to include others. For example, “Invite someone to join your game at recess”, or “Sit with someone new
at lunch”. These positive messages will be put together as a big paper chain and hung throughout the JHS building showing
our unity. Then, the highlight of the lunch was the amazing speaker, Jon Pritikin, who came and shared his moving story to
all of us. Jon Pritikin, based in California, flew in to speak about his life and how he was able to overcome certain difficult
issues that he faced as a young adult. He captured everyone’s attention and many of us were moved to tears. Jon took the
time to say goodbye to each of us. He helped us to see how important it is to treat each other with kindness and to make sure
we know that we are all special in our own unique way! It was an amazing experience that has had a powerful impact on all
of us in the JHS. Thank you to Mrs. Maisel and Mrs. Golubtchik for the beautiful program!

First Grade Model Seder

Before our Pesach break, our 1st graders enjoyed a beautiful model Seder. Rabbi Landsman led the
Seder as the students enjoyed asking, finding, dipping, eating, leaning, and singing. Fortunately for
the students, Rabbi Ribalt could not find the Afikomen and he therefore gave them an ice cream treat
as a reward for their super hiding skills. We hope your Sedarim at home were as much fun as ours
was at school!! Thank you to Rabbi Ribalt for orginizing his special program! Special thanks to Mo-
rah Tali Brody for the beautiful program.

Pre-School Model SedARIM

The preschool students participated in their annual model sedarim. The kindergarten had their
seder in the lunchroom and the nursery had their seder in the shul where they enjoyed going
through all the rituals of the seder. Under the direction and musical accompaniment from
Morah Karen Daitchman their music teacher, the children sang the Ma Nishtana and other
Pesach songs. They listened to the story of the exodus from Mitzrayim and hid the afikomen.
They were eager to answer questions and show off all they have learned about the holiday of
Pesach. They couldn’t wait to attend their own seder and show all the knowledge they have
gained in yeshiva.

WE THANK THIS WEEK’S SPONSOR
