Preschool Chanukah Plays
This past Thursday December 29th, the preschool classes each performed a
beautiful play. The parents were all invited to see the presentations on which
their children worked so hard!
Fifth Grade Chanukah Chesed Trip
Students in the fifth grade had a unique opportunity to apply their math skills to their lives over Chanukah. On Wednesday,
December 28th all four classes "shopped" for gifts with a budget of over $700. Students had fun pretending to shop for their
family members while working within the confines of their budgets. Each group worked well together to choose toys, coloring
books, stickers and more to be distributed to sick children through Chai Lifeline. Thanks to all those who helped make our
project such a great success and a special thanks to Mrs. Katz for our organizing the beautiful Chesed opportunity!
Shlock Rock Concert
Music and dancing filled the school on Tuesday December 27, 2016, as YCQ was
treated to an exciting concert by Shlock Rock. The band played tons of great
Chanukah songs, old favorites from their 37 CDs. Led by Lenny Solomon, YCQ’s
most famous alumnus, Shlock Rock connected with every student from Nursery
through Eighth Grade bringing a tremendous Chanukah spirit to the Yeshiva. A
great time was had by all!
YCQ Paint Night
NCSY Camp Meor came to teach the girls about the beauty of Chanukah! The
grade was split up by class each class doing their respective activity. While one
class learned the other made a beautiful painting depicting the minhagim of
Chanukah. We had a great time and learned a lot!
