Preschool Chanukah Plays

On Thursday December 14th, the preschool classes each performed a
beautiful play. The parents were all invited to see the presentations on which
their children worked so hard!

Fifth Grade Chanukah Chesed Trip

Students in the fifth grade had a unique opportunity to help children from Chai Lifeline. On Thursday, December 14th all
four classes "shopped" for gifts at Amazing Savings. Students had fun pretending to shop for their family members while
working within the confines of their budgets. Each group worked well together to choose toys, coloring books, stickers and
more to be distributed to sick children through Chai Lifeline. Thanks to the generosity of parents and staff members, we
purchased many gifts to bring some light to the lives of sick children and their families. Special thanks to Mrs. Katz and to all
those who helped make our project such a great success!

JHS Chanukah Chesed Day!

This week, as we celebrated the miracle of Chanukah, all JHS students had the privilege to take part in a JHS
Chanukah Chesed day. 6G1 played Chanukah Bingo at Boulevard ALP. 6G2 played Chanukah Bingo at the
Cliffside Nursing Home. 6B1 played Chanukah Bingo at Meadow Park Nursing Center. 6B2 played Chanukah
Bingo at Atria Assisted Living. 7G1 helped at the Met Council Chanukah Breakfast. 7G2 helped out at Bobbie’s
Place. The 7th grade boys played Chanukah games at Otsar. The entire 8th grade hosted HASC students for
Chanukah workshops in the MPR. After performing their respective chesed projects the girls had lunch at
Shimon’s and the boys had lunch at Benjy’s. We always look forward to taking part in these incredible mitzvah
opportunities! Thank you to Morah Katz for arranging the program and for all the faculty who chaperoned.

Morah Wanka Comes to YCQ!

This past Wednesday, Morah Wanka came to make beautiful chocolate treats with the fourth and fifth
grade students. The chocolate art depicted the Menorah being lit by the window. What a special treat for
our students to enoy! Special thanks to Mrs. Carrie Beylus and all her helpers for all their hard work!
