Purim Carnival
On the Friday before Purim all of the YCQ students adorned in their Purim costumes,
enjoyed a day of games, obstacle courses, popcorn and cotton candy. This year we had DJ
Eli entertain us as we jumped on the PTO sponsored bounce houses that were brought in
for our yearly event. With the prize tickets earned, the children entered a drawing for
some really cool prizes. The eighth graders were hard at work all day making sure the kids
all had an amazing time.

JHS Chesed Day!
On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, the JHS students all went on different chesed trips, 6B1 made Purim projects with residents at
Boulevard Assisted Living, 6B2 made Purim projects with residents at Cliffside Nursing Home, the 7th grade boys learned about
Purim together with the Bais Ezra men in the YCQ Multi Purpose Room, and the 8th grade boys made Purim projects with HASC
students. 6G1 made Purim projects with residents at Meadow Park Nursing Home, 6G2 made Purim projects with residents at Atria
Assisted Living, the 7th grade girls made Purim projects at Otsar Day Hab, 8G1 helped out at Bobbie’s Place, and 8G2 went to
Aron’s with the YESS Students, followed by returning to YCQ and packaging Mishloach Manot. At the conclusion of each of these
trips the students ate lunch at local pizza stores. Thank you to the chaperones and special thanks to Mrs. Katz for planning such a
special and inspiring day!
