Mozaic MessengerQUARTERLY NEWSLETTER • JANUARY 2026, VOLUME 17The final quarter of 2025 was filled with activity as Mozaic continued moving forward with the merger with Oswego Industries and The Arc of Oswego while maintaining strong momentum across our programs.Fall brought many opportunities to celebrate, beginning with Apple Fest in Yates County at the Duck Hunters Club in Penn Yan. Staff and individuals gathered to enjoy games, cider, food, and seasonal activities in a festive autumn setting.For the first time, Mozaic hosted a Business After Hours event at Finger Lakes Textiles, welcoming 30 local business leaders. Guests were impressed by our long‑standing role as a Department of Defense contractor and our partnerships with government agencies, making the event a great success.October also marked a significant milestone as Mozaic was named Agency of the Year by NYSID during its 50th anniversary celebration—an honor recognizing our leadership among nearly 100 agencies statewide. In addition, a Finger Lakes Textiles employee was recognized as Employee of the Year, a proud moment for both the individual and the organization.Community traditions continued with our annual Trunk or Treat, drawing more than 30 decorated trunks and over 150 staff and children. In November, the annual turkey giveaway allowed the executive team to personally thank staff across all counties for their dedication.December closed out the year with a joyful residential Christmas party filled with food, singing, and dancing. Spotlight also reached an exciting milestone by performing its first full musical production, The Wizard of Oz, showcasing the hard work and talent of everyone involvedHulbert StreetThe individuals at Hulbert enjoyed door decorating contests, visiting the Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum’s Festival of Trees, and baking cookies and pumpkin bread while trying new recipes.LifestylesLifestyles individuals delivered Meals on Wheels, attended Spotlight music, dance, and theater performances, and participated in weekly art classes.Day Hab Without WallsDHWOWs individuals visited the Finger Lakes Mall for holiday decorations and enjoyed outings to Destiny USA, Long Point State Park, Tom Thumb Mini Golf, Dave & Buster’s, and the Weedsport Aqueducts, along with Meals on Wheels deliveries.Special EventsTrunk or Treat was held at 180 in October, followed by Bingo Night in November.3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat

Individuals and staff enjoyed a beautiful fall day filled with seasonal treats such as cotton candy, apples, and cider. Festivities also included pumpkin painting, karaoke, and dancing, making it a fun and memorable event for everyone.Holiday PartyThe Annual Holiday Party was held on December 4th at Vince Park. Individuals and staff gathered for a delicious dinner, followed by cookie decorating for dessert. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and holiday cheer, topped off by a surprise visit from Santa, who brought a gift for everyone.Coming SoonResidential is preparing to utilize Ebriefs, a new system that uses sensors to provide real time incontinence monitoring. This technology will support the health and safety of the individuals we serve by helping to prevent skin breakdown and reduce urinary tract infections. Real time alerts will allow staff to respond quickly when moisture is detected, reducing unnecessary sleep interruptions and promoting early intervention. Installation is targeted for mid March 2026. During this most recent visit, Derek remained by her side and provided the medical team with a thorough, detailed history of her challenges over the past few months. Derek advocated for her when she was unable to advocate for herself, and he stayed throughout the night to ensure she received the care she needed and deserved. Throughout the entire experience, Derek kept her team fully informed and offered the comfort and reassurance she needed during an incredibly trying time.
