Course Synopsis

This course applies the skills learned in GTJ101/4 Nursing foundation I, GTJ109/4 Nursing
Foundation II and GTJ105/4 Nursing Foundation Medical-Surgical. It encompasses nursing care
management on basic care, activity of daily living and therapeutic intervention of the patient. This
course also promotes holistic nursing care with an emphasis on cultural diversity and safety. This
course is 100% practicum and involves clinical teaching. Students will be divided into small groups
to improve communication, critical thinking and leadership skill. This course also encourages holistic
care with emphasis on cultural diversity and safety. Students will be assessed through practial test,
practical report, and assignment.

C. TEACHING AND LEARNING SCHEDULE

1. Practicum hours / weeks

Student must complete the practicum hours (weeks) stipulated for clinical practicum in this
semester. Student need to submit the clinical attendance as evidence that the student has
completed the required practicum rotations.
**Calculation: 3 credit of practicum = 6 weeks of practicum (1 day = 7 hours continuously guided
