The First Time I
Was Late For work

Hi my name is Joe. Have you ever been to my work?
I work at a school office. I am a secretary grad. I've been
working there for five years, and never took a day off. I
love my job. Everyone is so nice. I am 30 years old. I was
born in September, and I would like to take you along
to see if you would like to be a secretary gard so let's go
and hop in the truck.

Oh no! As I was driving. It started to rain, so hard. I
can barely see! It's like a car wash. All of a sudden I see a
humongous flash of light in the corner of my eye and
then hear a big Boom! I realized lightning had just hit
my truck.

I was able to get the phone out before it went up in
flames . The flames of the fire were so tall as a giraffe, and
right there I called my boss. But no answer so I call again
they he answered…..... he said In an greedy voice, “What
do you want”

Then I began to go on and told him what I had gone
through in just 30min of stressful things that had just
happened to me. I said, “I am stuck in the middle of a
highway, I can barely identify anything, my truck is on
fire and there is a tree in my way, I am going to be late.

Then my boss said, Indeed you are, I will get
someone out there where you are?”

Then I began to tell him some more where I was.

10 minutes later, I saw someone in the distance, he
pulled up in a facey black car with a tuxedo on and he
said get in, you're going to be late, so i thought about
getting in because I have a head of stranger danger. I
have been targeting this person for 15min asking him
questions like who do you work for and how old were
you? He said, ¨ I work for your boss like I said before
you are going to be late.¨ I finally gave into what he was
saying I ran inside the cab. We showed up at the office
and I was a minute late. Then when I was at the door
my boss was there with a big misteveses look on his face.

He said to me ¨have you ever been late before?¨ I
said, I believe no.¨ he began to tell me it happens to the
best of us, and then he said I had the day off because
everyone else was gone so there was no point in working
today so there was no point in grading the school today.
Like I said in the beginning I have been working there
for five years, and I have never taken a day off so now I
can!
