Hostel facilities

ISSUES/ problem

BEDROOM

The dorm rooms are very crowded due to very limited space. Many things cause a room
to feel cramped and sometimes a little cluttered. The wardrobe is directly in front of the bed
and the space to walk is very limited, for example, one of the roommates opens the
wardrobe door to take something, and then it will make the space even more cramped.

ATMOSPHERE IN THE HOSTEL

Disturbance from outside and inside the hostel room. This problem causes us as students
to not be able to concentrate on studying because of the very loud sound of motor vehicles,
for example, motorcycles. In addition, disturbances in the hostel that often happen to us are
noises and screams from outside the hostel room that suddenly but do not disturb when
sleeping.

CLOTHES HANGER

The clothes hanger here is narrow, and clothes that have been washed are difficult to dry.
This clothes hanger is also blocked by a high wall and is quite closed to dry clothes quickly
because the sun is facing the wall, and may take a day to dry. The hanging space is narrow
and not enough for the residents of this hostel to dry their clothes. The clothes residents of
this hostel wash the clothes is at large numbers and cause them to take turns washing the
clothes so this is difficult for students who are boarding. When it rain will cause dry clothes
to become moist, and smell. It can also cause clothes to fall off the hanger.

BATHROOM

In the bathroom, there is a weak water drain that causes water to stand and makes the
floor dirty. One of the causes is because of falling hair. In addition, the ceiling of the water
room leaks and causes the ceiling to be damaged due to the water pipes from the upper
floor leaking. Next, the turn-on shower button is broken and needs to be turned strongly so
that waste of water doesn't happen. The toilet cover is broken and for convenience, we
replace it with a new one using our own money.

SOLUTION

First in the bedroom, the superior/hostel needs to change the position of the wardrobe in a
place that is not too narrow. In addition, the superiors need to allow only two students in one
room. Second, atmosphere in the hostel. The superiors need to put up signs regarding the speed
limit so that there is no noise disturbance on the road close to the hostel. In addition, the hostel
needs to warn students not to make noise inside or outside the room so as not to disturb others.
Third, clothes hanger. The superiors need to modify the toilet floor to a smaller and higher
position so that the coat hanger can be raised up for the clothes to dry faster. The hostel needs
to put two or three more washing machines for the convenience of students instead of taking
turns. Fourth, at the bathroom. Students need to clean easily clogged areas. If the area is already
filled with water, the superiors need to do maintenance quickly after receiving complaints from
students. In addition, the superiors need to repair the leaking bathroom ceiling, shower faucet and
damaged bathroom door.
