How time flies … seems like only yesterday we Badminton 7.00am – 10.00pm

were celebrating the New Year and here we are Tennis & Squash 7.00am – 10.00pm
already moving into the second half of 2017!
Indeed it’s been a memorable year so far for KPGCC Table-tennis 7.00am – 10.00pm
and, believe me, there’s much more to come.
Gymnasium 7.00am – 10.00pm
The accolades continue to roll in for KPGCC, with
the most recent being the Best Maintained Golf Driving Range 7.00am – 12.00am
Course award in the Malaysian Golf Awards. This is the
fifth time that we have earned this award and KPGCC Pro Shop 7.30am – 8.00pm
was also nominated in the Best Overall Golf
Experience category. Kudos to our superintendent (Tuesdays – Sundays)
‘Bunker Lee’ and the maintenance team for keeping the golf course
in top-notch condition throughout the year.  Sports Shop 10.00am – 9.00pm

While on that note, I would like to thank all KPGCC members who have given their Health Centre 10.00am – 11.00 pm
unflinching support to all our endeavours. Without that, we would not have been able to
achieve such success and recognition. Rest assured, we will constantly strive to improve and RestfoRest Pub 4.30pm – 12.00am
upgrade the golf course to maintain KPGCC’s status as the No. 1 club in Malaysia.

Speaking of No. 1, heartiest congratulations to all the winners of the annual Club
Championships – Men’s Champion Jimmy Chia, Senior Champion Zakaria Mohammad and Golfers’ Terrace
Ladies’ Champion Dato’ Azlina Abdul Aziz – on their great performances. Thanks to the
Golf Committee and Organising Committee for putting together a great show and ensuring 11.00am – 7.00pm (Mondays)
that the Championship ran smoothly. With the course in superb condition and the greens
running at a slick 11.5 on the Stimpmeter, all the participants had a great time. ‘Ready Golf’ 6.30am – 9.00pm (Tuesdays - Sundays)
was introduced for this year’s Championship and we saw significant improvement in terms
of pace of play as compared to previous Championships. Poolside Café
8.30am – 9.30pm (Weekends & Public Holidays)
An intensive course improvement programme focusing on landscape enhancements and 11.30am – 9.30pm (Tuesdays - Fridays)
teebox enlargement/resurfacing has been carried out at Holes 4 and 9. As most of you may
have noticed, a footbridge has been constructed at Hole 7 for players to walk across from Chinese Restaurant

The construction of the temporary changing rooms is in progress and is expected to be 10.30am – 2.30pm & 6.00pm – 10.30pm

Moving away from golf, we have changed the surface of one squash court recently and contact Us

KPGCC Wins ‘Best Maintained Golf
Course’ Award

The top achievers of Malaysian golf were celebrated at the Another proud moment captured on camera
Malaysian Golf Awards 2017 presented by Club Car, staged
on May 12 at Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Organised by ParGolf in collaboration with the
Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), the Malaysian Golf
Awards is the nation’s only industry-wide awards
recognising deserving individuals, golf clubs and
companies for their achievements and contributions in the
previous year. The awards spanned 14 categories and the
winners were selected based on voting by a 50-strong
panel comprising MGA committee members, ParGolf
editorial personnel and selected golf industry personalities.

Winning the ‘Best Maintained Golf Course in Malaysia’
award for the fifth time, KPGCC continues to lead the way
in course maintenance with its super-slick greens, pristine
fairways and excellent landscaping.

The April Monthly Medal rounded up eager KPGCCian
golfers for a challenging and fun round. Played on
April 9 in a 2-Ball Better Ball format, the golfers tackled
our pristine fairways whilst enjoying the surrounding
nature. At the end of play, Norshid Ali and Lee Chee Hian
topped the standings with 49 points, while Ng Eu Chieng
and Ng Sin Kiong settled for second place with 47 points

The 2017 Media Golf tournament drew a total of 81 golfers comprising both print MEDIA CATEGORY
and digital media from Malaysia and neighbouring Singapore on the lovely morning
of May 17. Also joining the field were retailers, event partners and sponsors along Placing Name Hcp Points

Red Hot Affair

After golfers battled it out for top spots during the 2017 Club
Championships, it was time to let it all hang loose and let the
celebrations begin!

Feted with a lip-smacking buffet feast prepared by KPGCC’s
skilled chef, the attendees – clad in their best red and black
evening attire – had a wonderful time mingling with one another
and dancing the evening away.

The highlight of the evening certainly was the prize and
trophy presentation to the Champions of 2017.

Golf Wing Renovations Update

Major renovations are underway at KPGCC’s Golf Wing for a brand new look and feel!
While we are committed to elevating our patrons’ experience at the club with these renovations,
we have also endeavoured to provide everyone with the same level of comfort during this
crucial period by actually constructing several interim areas to ensure that our service remains
uninterrupted, pending the creation of the new permanent structures.
We do apologise for any inconvenience caused, and are all excitedly awaiting the unveiling of
the new Golf Wing once renovations are completed in 2018.

Held from February 14-17 at Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan in Shah Alam, the
Selangor Schools Swimming Championship 2017 (MSSS) saw some of the The 2017 Malaysia

events, with a number of KPGCC swimmers chosen to represent their Invitational Age
schools – headlined by aquatic wonder Eunice Pua Jia Hui.
