Litter Busters

2 days

Project Idea Have children make posters discouraging others from littering. Allow children to
display their posters around the school campus. Have children create announcements
to broadcast over the school public address system that remind others not to litter.
Students may also create a “Good Citizen” class book in which each child writes and
illustrates a page.

Driving Question Do students on our campus understand the impact of littering? Students will work with
their teacher to complete the aforementioned project to make their school a better
place.

Content Standards K.1 Students understand that being a good citizen involves acting in certain ways.
1.Follow rules, such as sharing and taking turns, and know the consequences of
breaking them.
