Charlie Bearse, a mining professional with 38 years in the coal industry, has served as the Chief Operating Officer at Blackhawk since 2018. Mr. Bearse began his career as an underground miner, and he is a certified mine foreman and mine rescue responder, which has contributed to his development and success. Since 2023, he has served as a member of the BridgeValley Community and Technical College Foundation Board. He was recently asked to serve on the school’s Board of Governors.
