Cabanatuan City – As the entire province remains
under general community quarantine due to COVID-
19 pandemic, DILG Nueva Ecija conducted the
Provincial Roll-Out on the Policy Guidelines of the FY
2020 Assistance to Municipalities (AM) and Sagana
at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) Programs
on August 27, 2020 via online. The activity aims to
orient the municipalities, including the Municipal Local
Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs) on the
FY 2020 AM and SALINTUBIG Programs' Policy
Guidelines to ensure the efficient and effective
Implementation of Locally Funded Projects (LFPs).

activities in partnership with the local government units
hopes to resolve all discrepancy in data reporting for the
proper management of the pandemic. The revised
harmonized contact tracing report was jointly created by
the DILG and DOH.

There were 67 participants in the teleconference Including

Officers, and Contact Tracing Focal Persons from LGUs in
Nueva Ecija.

LGOO II Vivorey S. Lapitan from DILG NE and DMO IV Rosanna Rosell, RN, PHSAE from DOH NE discussed and
clarified the technical notes and guide in filling up the new contact tracing template. The template shall be used in
reporting of all contact tracing efforts done by the local government units. Together with the template are technical
notes, which aim to provide explanations and common understanding of how to accomplish the template.

(NEPPO) launched the #DisiplinaMuna Awareness
and and Advocacy Campaign of the Department of
the Interior and Local Government at the NEPPO
Grounds, Cabanatuan City on July 13, 2020.

#DisiplinaMuna advocacy campaign primarily aims
to instill the culture of discipline among the
community, including the local government units
and other stakeholders.

LGOO V Kimberly B. Ruiz discussed the legal bases
and concept of #DisiplinaMuna in which she
stressed the importance of discipline in
implementing programs, projects, and activities of
the government. Further, this advocacy campaign
is being implemented along with the seven (7)
pillar programs: road clearing, disaster prepared-
ness and resilience, anti-smoking, ease of doing
business, liquor ban, environmental clean-up and
functionality of BADACs.

In his message, LGOO VI Louie C. Manarpiis
commended the Nueva Ecija Police Officers for
exemplifying discipline in their work even before
the launching of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Provincial Director Rosete expressed his
full support in the advocacy campaign of instilling
the culture of discipline not only in their workplace
but also to the public particularly this time that
#DisiplinaMuna is a must in addressing health and
economic problems.

after a simple turn-over ceremony held at the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial office, Cabanatuan City.
Prior to his appointment as CTL of Nueva Ecija, he
served as the MLGOO of DILG Paniqui, Tarlac. CTL
Rillera has vowed to implement all DILG program,
projects, and activities efficiently and effectively while
promoting good governance.

The Nueva Ecija Inter-Agency Task Force (NE-IATF),
headed by Honorable Governor Aurelio "Oyie" M.
Umali, convened to discuss updates and ways
forward vis-a-vis COVID-19 on August 13, 2020 at the
Old Capitol Building, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

The meeting was called to inform the member
agencies of the current capacity of the province in
handling the pandemic. Likewise, Governor Umali
presented his vision of a handbook of home protocols
for the guidance of Novo Ecijanos against COVID-19.
For this purpose, he urged all member agencies to
submit their espoused home protocols which will be
compiled into the said handbook.

The applicants were advised to submit the documentary requirements through email and drop box located
at the entrance of the DILG NE Provincial Office.

Training (SKMT) for SK officials in the province via
Zoom Meetings application.

started the activity by welcoming the participants from various LGUs in Nueva Ecija with her opening remarks.

C. Rillera and LGOO V Kimberly B. Ruiz served as speakers in the said training that tackled Decentralization
and Local Governance, SK History and Salient Features, Meetings and Resolution, Planning and Budgeting as
well as the Code of Conduct for Government Officials and Employees.

Question and answer portions were facilitated between the module discussions through a game-based platform
online named Kahoot! to check the participants’ understanding of the topics.

The goal of the activity is to provide the necessary training for SK officials before they can assume office as stat-
