Ready-to-eat products are becoming more popular nowadays due to consumers’ hectic lifestyles.
To ensure product quality and the authenticity of Thai taste, the Department of International Trade
Promotion has created a certification system - the Thai SELECT logo which is granted to qualified ready-
to-eat and ready-to-cook Thai food products. Certified Thai restaurants overseas are welcome to display
such logo as a sign of authentication and assurance to customers. Favorites like Thai curry pastes,
condiments, instant Thai desserts, and other popular Thai food products worthy of the Thai SELECT logo
are required to be prepared in the traditional and authentic Thai style. They must be easily recognizable
as Thai food, posses world-class standard packaging and still maintain good quality when they reach
consumers.
