5 Post Show Report VIP Testimonials Mr. Faruque Hassan, President Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Congratulations to the organizer of Premier International Textile Sourcing Show, 2023. As the apex trade body of Bangladesh representing the RMG sector of Bangladesh, BGMEA joyously associates with Worldex India, which is the strategic partner of Intex Bangladesh. There are significant value chain linkages between India and Bangladesh, particularly in the textile and apparel sector and I believe we can collaborate in this segment more in the coming days. Exhibition like this, will create an unique opportunities to gather all part of the global supply chain under one single umbrella, where there will be knowledge sharing and innovative learning. The capacity of Asian countries in every stage of textile and clothing value addition creates a unique opportunity for excellence in production, quality, fashion and value creation. Particularly, India specializes in the upstream segment, supplying such intermediate inputs as silk, cotton, yarn, and fabrics to Bangladesh. Bangladesh specializes in the downstream final apparel segment, exporting worldwide as well as to India. So our relationship doesn’t need to be competitive rather it can be complementary. It is our pleasure to be a partner of the Intex show which is happening with an aim to amplify the existing trade relationship among the South Asian countries. I wish all the success to the exhibition. Mr. Golam Dastagir Gazi, Hon’ble Minister of Textiles & Jute, Govt. of Bangladesh I am delighted to learn that Worldex India is organising the 11th Intex - The Premier International Textile Sourcing Show in Bangladesh on 22-24 June 2023 at ICCB, Dhaka. I appreciate the efforts taken by Worldex India in bringing international manufacturers and suppliers to Bangladesh to explore business and market opportunities in the textiles and apparel industry of Bangladesh. I am certain that our country’s manufacturers, exporters, brands and sourcing offices here would look forward to such trade platforms to meet with new suppliers, learn about their latest product innovations and offerings, enhance the competitiveness, develop new strategies to diversify their products for international and domestic markets which would further boost our overall production and exports of textiles and garments and also offer value-addition across the supply-chain for the textiles and apparel industry of Bangladesh. As Bangladesh looks to constantly upgrade its offerings as well as look to build its global market share in traditional cotton apparel as well as MMF product range, we look forward to hosting such international trade exhibitions in the country which assists the industry to move forward as a whole. I am happy to learn that Intex will showcase innovative and fashion textile products, services and solutions by leading suppliers from 10+ countries to connect, network and build stronger ties with Bangladeshi textiles and apparel industry across the value chain.
