3 West India Council th 19Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards 2023 West India Council Message I am pleased to learn that the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) is organizing its flagship program, the 19th edition of Indo American Corporate Excellence Award 2023, on September 22, 2023. My warm felicitations! We applaud the coordinated efforts put in by the IACC to promote India-US trade and investment ties and facilitate business collaborations, joint ventures, and marketing alliances. India and the US, the largest and oldest democracies, inspire and influence each other. The historic state visit of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to USA, earlier this year, has given a significant momentum to the India-US economic and commercial partnership, a crucial pillar of our strategic friendship. Indian companies in the US bring strength, resilience and competitiveness to the US, jobs opportunities to the locals, build capacity and technical know how. During my tenure here in the South-East USA, I have witnessed remarkable and noteworthy efforts done by Indian companies to transform neighborhoods, and to partner with universities, and colleges. The upcoming Award event, undoubtedly, will encourage business owners, entrepreneurs, and companies in India to identify more opportunities and to foster "partnership of prosperity" between India and the US. I wish the IACC, and everyone associated with it every success in their endeavors. Dr. Swati V. Kulkarni Consul General of India, Atlanta, Georgia
4 West India Council th 19Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards 2023 West India Council Greetings from Arkansas, the Natural State. It is a great honor to address the distinguished participants of the IACC’s 2023 Corporate Excellence Awards via this medium. It has been many years since Arkansas’ first engagement with the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce. Since that time I’ve had the pleasure of participating in many enlightening forums and have met some truly dynamic businesspeople from each region of your great nation. A spirit of innovation and steadfast dedication drives these men and women, seeking not only to build their own firms, but also to contribute to society at large, raising further India’s already impressive profile on the global stage. Arkansas has also benefitted greatly from investments from Indo-American Chamber member firms including Welspun, Mahindra Group, Infosys, Tata Consulting Services, and Wipro, employing several thousand Arkansans. Arkansas-based firms such as Walmart and Tyson Foods have also made great inroads in the Indian market, in turn providing gainful employment and international business exposure to Indian colleagues. Seeing the Indo-American business community continue to grow and thrive in Arkansas has been a major highlight of my career in economic development. This is a community of true character, family-oriented, with a notable devotion to lifelong learning. Their presence in our state is an incredible boon, especially to the communities where they’ve chosen to set up. And I believe that our bilateral business ties are poised to develop much further as our two countries deepen high-level cooperation, not just economically, but also ideologically via more closely aligned foreign policy. I offer my heartfelt congratulations to this year’s Corporate Excellence Award recipients, and look forward to meeting more of you in person in the near future. I also welcome those of you considering further development in the U.S. to visit Arkansas and experience all that the Natural State has to offer. Sincerely, Mr. Neal Jansen Director, State of Arkansas Asia Office Message

6 West India Council th 19Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards 2023 West India Council Welcome to 19th IACE Awards, this is the best way, we thought to recognize all the hard work put in by you & your team to boost Indo-US trade, creating world class products and services. As rightly put in by our prime minister during his address to the joint session of the US Congress - “In the past few years, there have been many advances in AI — Artificial Intelligence. At the same time, there have been more momentous developments in another AI — America and India.” This reflects the growing relation between India and USA in the recent years. US is the 3rd largest investor in India with FDI Investment of $ 60.19 billion from April 2000 to March 2023. Talking about the upcoming developments, Apple supplier Foxconn plans over $ 1.2 billion investment in India, Micron Technology (a US company) has announced investments of USD 2.75 billion in the next five years to build a new semiconductor assembly and test facility in India. Alongside that, the biggest takeaway is the deal between General Electric Aerospace and HAL to manufacture under license GE’s F414 engine for India’s light combat aircraft - this deal marks the end of the technology denial regime. We are confident, by presenting the awards for the 19th time, it will take the Indo-US relationship to the next level and we will be able to promote and achieve our targeted trade with the US of USD 500 billion dollars, in few years. Kudos to Winners, Participants and to Esteemed Juries and Mentors! Mr. Prashant Krishnan President, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce — West India Council Message

Coming from a prestigious organization like IACC, which is a powerful and credible body that binds two continental size economies having a shared business agenda, the award has a special significance. It is heartening to note that the Indo-US bi-lateral relationship seems to have reached new heights in the recent unprecedented second State visit of the Prime Minister. President Biden and PM Modi have indicated that they would like the Indo-US bilateral relations to continue and intensify to be pivotal for global welfare in this century. Both countries have demonstrated their intention to deepen the relationship on strategic and economic issues. Mutual understandings have been reached for joint initiatives in the sectors of defence, renewable energy, technology collaboration, healthcare and climate change. India’s Presidency of G20 at this time presents an exceptional opportunity for the country. Our Chamber has been actively participating by nominating selected members to various Task Forces that provide the global business community a platform to brainstorm on impactful initiatives. 10 West India Council th 19Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards 2023 West India Council India and US share dynamic economic ties and strong cultural and strategic bonds.
