NANNY ANGEL

NETWORK

The Nanny Angel Network (NAN) is a registered charity and the only
organization of its kind in the world that provides free and specialized
in-home childcare support for the children of mothers diagnosed with
cancer. Our volunteers are filling a critical gap in health and social services and
helping to give families back the gift of time.

Our Nanny Angel volunteers are rigorously vetted and certified to meet NAN’s
high standards of passion, courage and empathy. Our volunteers are specially
trained to support families affected by a mother’s cancer diagnosis through
treatment, recovery, palliative care or during the bereavement period.

IMPACT
Nanny Angels help mothers feel assured that their children are in safe, caring
and qualified hands, giving them the confidence to focus on medical treatments
and to take the time they need to rest and recover.

Children 16 and under find comfort in caring and informed support, helping
them navigate, grieve and ultimately thrive in the face of the overwhelming
complexities associated with a mother’s cancer diagnosis.

Children and families are at the heart of all we do. Our program wraps
seamlessly around their needs to ensure everyone gets the support they need.

ANGELS & HEROES GALA

FEATURING JESSICA HOLMES AS EMCEE AND
PERFORMANCES BY GEORGE ST. KITTS

The Angels & Heroes Gala gives us the opportunity to recognize our Angels – the volunteers,
donors, and supporters who have given life to NAN – and our Heroes – the mothers who inspire
us with their strength and incredible courage.

More than 550 supporters, friends and guests gather annually to attend the Angels and Heroes
Gala to raise critical funds for the Nanny Angel Network as it works to lessen the impact of
cancer on families.

Dressed in ‘Denim and Bling,’ guests celebrate alongside the city’s top philanthropists for the
social event of the year. With an annual fundraising goal of $700,000, guests enjoy bidding on
unique live and silent auction packages, like the ultimate travel package to Paris Fashion Week.
This highly sought-after package offered in 2019 included roundtrip business class airfare on
Air Canada, seven nights stay at Hotel Le Royal Monceau and tickets to Fashion Week runway
shows. Guests can also try their luck at a mystery key game for the chance to win beautiful
jewellery, generously donated by David Yurman.

On Thursday, May 7, 2020, NAN’s fifth annual Angels and Heroes Gala, Presented by Greenwin
Cares and Chaired by Kerigan Kelly, will return to Rebel with a special guest emcee, Jessica
Holmes. Known for her work on the Royal Canadian Air Farce, Jessica will expertly blend
comedy with motivational speaking while guests enjoy a spectacular evening of delectable food
and cocktails. Back by popular demand, guests will dance the night away to the sounds of the
George St. Kitts Band as we strive to raise another $700,000 to support families experiencing
cancer.

With the help of our many supporters and media partners, the evening will deliver the perfect
occasion to raise awareness of NAN’s impact on the families we serve and for our guests to
envelop themselves in the halo effect that the evening’s celebration will generate.
