Dear Colleagues,
We are a highly successful Company with a rich history and a great reputation. In order to
retain our leadership position and do right by our heritage, we need systems and processes
that will continuously reinforce our “learning” mind-set; essential at all times and across all
levels. This will allow us to be agile in everything that we do; a crucial factor for future
success.
Our Company is already endowed with a diverse range of skills and competencies; these

scan the external landscape to identify new capabilities that we must acquire and develop
an expertise in, to continue to lead and win, in our fast-changing world. Such programmes
will make our workforces who are our true sustainable differentiator, future-ready and
best prepared to handle external shocks, if and when they occur.
It is with this context that I am privileged to present the Huhtamaki-PPL Training Calendar
for 2018. To my mind, this needs to be a “living” document; all of us have the right and a
duty to propose ways and means to make is more efficient and effective. So please feel
free to send across your thoughts to Samar and his team.
In the meantime, I wish you all, happy learning!

by the customer (aesthetics, good barrier, sealant properties). The layers are bonded
together using adhesive, temperature and pressure. The so called Laminate has the
aesthetic quality of print, barrier property, tensile strength of the combined layers and
sealant properties which help to form a customized bag or pouch. The Purpose of this
training module is it enables the employees to get acquainted with their jobs and also
increase the job-related knowledge and skills.

Objectives:

The training course on “Lamination Techniques” combines essential theoretical knowledge

Women and Leadership

Introduction:

Research studies have shown that companies with sustained high representation of women
- that is, three or more women board directors in at least four of five years - significantly
outperformed those with no women board directors. Statistics like this prove women have
the skills to not only take on top leadership positions, but to also have an impressive
impact on their organization's success. Still, we rarely see women in higher positions of
power because the reality of the glass ceiling is all too real. There exist a multitude of
challenges preventing women from reaching higher-level positions; including preconceived
notions of a woman's working ability as it relates to a societal and organizational context
and from an internal context - or rather, those self-imposed barriers women place on
themselves. Women and Leadership identifies the specific challenges imposed on women
in the workplace and provides an in-depth look at how they can combat these obstacles to
maximize their strengths - helping not only women, but all professionals and organizations
as they work to build the leadership skills of their employees.

Objectives:

 Build skills that enhance your development as a leader
 Build skills that enhance your development as a leader
