ALO launched its first virtual
education series on 6 June, 2021
on Mucormycosis also known as
the black fungus. The session was
a panel discussion among Drs.
Tarjani Dave, Joveeta Joseph,
Samatha Avula and Kuldeep
Raizada.
This discussion was broadcasted
live on our Facebook page via
Zoom and reached over 1500+
views.

ALO started a Divergent Knowledge Series on
May 9, 2021 to bring to you intriguing topics
from fields other than optometry.
The first of the series was a virtual session on
Personal Financial Planning by Ms. Gowthami
supported by Kotak life. We are lining up many
such topics in our upcoming sessions.
As we received a good response, we released a
second session lead by Mr. Lenin Krishnan on
20June, 2021.

YESHWANTH SAOJI YESHWANT SAOJI is a senior optometrist from Nagpur. He specializes in
the field of contact lenses and has been practicing it since the last 26
years. He holds a Master’s degree in optometry from the School Of
Optometry, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. A graduate of the Elite
School of Optometry (1991), SankaraNethralaya, Chennai, he is also a
fellow of L.V.Prasad Eye Institute (1992), Hyderabad.
He has been selected as a BOARD MEMBER OF BIPOK
Rebecca Sumalini is an associate optometrist at LVPEI and is also pursuing
her Ph.D. student at City University, London.
She won the second place in a 3-minute Ph.D. thesis presentation
competition organized by City University, London for its graduate students.
Her presentation was on her Ph.D. work about investigating the validity of
tools used to measure visual acuity and contrast sensitivity in children with
cerebral visual impairment. REBECCA SUMALINI
Dr. Kuldeep Raizada is a Clinical Ocularist, Anaplastologist and the CEO &
Chairman of Akriti Group. Dr. Raizada was awarded the Pan American
Academy of Ocularists and Contactology Prosthetic Grant Fellow recognition
of APOCP.

Pink Supermoon" - Doha, Qatar Vinay Swaroop Balla
Captured in Doha, Qatar between 26 & 27 April 2021 under Partnership with Qatar
National Tourism Council as a part of their new Astro Tourism Initiatives . They
organize stargazing trips and astronomy themed camps to all their tourists to
promote Qatar as their next travel destination once the borders reopen.
One month of planning, preparation, calculations, location scouting all paid off with
these results. Thanks to @photopills for their amazing planner which made this
possible.

February 2021.

have strived to achieve their dreams.
The chronicles not only showcase career oriented accolades but also
