TWO APPEALS FROM KNIGHTON
It has been a very strange year but some things never change.
One of these is the Royal British Legion’s need for funds. Due to Covid 19
there can be no ‘House to House’ collection this year and therefore the
Legion will be struggling to look after all the old sailors, soldiers and airmen
who desperately need their support. Please help by making a donation to
the Legion. For these please send, or bring, cash or cheques made out to
RBL. The details of where to send this it are at the bottom of this appeal.
The other, also very worthwhile, matter is that we are approaching
Christmas. This is the time when we ask for special help for those who
cannot afford very much for themselves, and especially their children, at
this important time of the Christian year.
The Food Bank always needs help but particularly now. Donations of any
foodstuffs would be really appreciated, and particularly things that are a bit
‘Christmassy’. Why not put a couple of extra items in with your shopping
over the next few weeks to pass on, it could make a big difference to
someone’s festive season.
For both of these appeals please send, or deliver the items to:-
