Mid-Week Holy Communion Service
Old Chapel Hall, Menith Wood
Thursday 11th September at 10.30am
All are very welcome to a
simple and reflective mid-week Holy Communion
Service at the Old Chapel Hall, Menith Wood
at 10.30am on the following dates:
12th July, 9th August, 13th September, 11th October.
If you need more information,
or have any other questions, please contact:
Vickie Melling: 01584 881086 or [email protected]
An Important Request
It is not the intention of this magazine to
lecture folk about their every day lives and activities.
When, however, events take place which put others
at risk, then we all have a duty of care.
PLEASE, as I write this in this present climate of
a dry spell, do not use Chinese Lanterns!
They place lives and property in grave danger.
If, in 3 weeks time when you read this,
we’re inches deep in mud,
you will understand that, as a simple editor,
I cannot have foretold or counted on
the British weather!
Thank you. Ed

FOOD RELIEF
The people of Knighton have always given, very generously,
to Tenbury Emergency Food Relief (the Food Bank) at Christmas and Easter.
However is has recently become apparent that there is another problem.
Children get school meals and those whose parents cannot afford this get their meals free;
BUT ONLY IN TERM TIME. There is now a lot of evidence that these children are not being
properly fed in the holidays and this applies especially to the long summer holiday.
Your Church, St. Michaels at Knighton has a box in the Nave (the main part of the Church)
for donations to the Tenbury Food Bank.
Please think about this and, whenever you go shopping, pick up a few extra tins
or packets of semi-durable foods and drop these in the box.
At present, in this rather hot weather it might be better to concentrate on things that can
be eaten cold. Such items as biscuits, tinned vegetables and fruit, also tinned fish such as
pilchards or tuna would all be very welcome for the moment, please use your imagination.
If the weather has changed, when you read this, hot food items will be much appreciated.
THANK YOU
