Message from the President and Vice Chancellor Universiti Selangor Prof. Dato' Dr Mohammad Redzuan bin Othman President and Vice Chancellor Universiti Selangor Assalamualaikum W.B.T and good day to all, All praise to Allah SWT, The Most Gracious and Merciful. Peace and blessings for the Prophet Muhammad SAW. First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Organizing Committee for their outstanding contributions in ensuring the success of this symposium. Congratulations! This symposium with the theme "Emerging Science and Engineering Towards Future Global Challenges," aims to encourage a research culture among students and provide students with the opportunity to present their findings of their final year project research. Furthermore, this symposium is an opportunity to highlight the most recent advancements in the fields of Engineering, Science, Technology, and Mathematics. It is intended that the areas to be researched will be identified, thereby supporting the university's and faculty's efforts to nurture and encourage the dissemination of the most recent research findings to the research community. Universities and industry collaborations are on the rise, and this symposium provides a great platform for emphasizing it. Moreover, self-confidence and soft skills are crucial aspects of life transitions for students. These skills need to be obtained in order to be competitive when seeking a job after graduation. Universities play an important role in developing and shaping students' personalities so that they can acquire the set of skills required in their chosen field. There's no denying that graduates' mastery of soft skills contributes to the often-mentioned issue of graduates' marketability. Thus, organizing an event like symposium will change employers’ perspective toward graduates. There is no doubt that the Faculty of Engineering and Life Science UNISEL has produced high-quality Engineering and Science alumni. Therefore, I hope that this symposium will be organized annually in order to provide the best platform for establishing collaboration from industries and other higher education institutions as well as providing a platform for students and lecturers to share knowledge, applications, and technology with all. Message from the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences Universiti Selangor Associate Prof. Dr Dzulkarnain bin Ahmad Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Assalamualaikum W.B.T. I am delighted to welcome all of you to the Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences Undergraduate Symposium 2023 (FELS-US 2023) at Universiti Selangor's Bestari Jaya Campus in Malaysia. This is the yearly Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences symposium, which is conducted in physical mode. This year’s symposium maintains to endorse the theme of "Emerging Science and Engineering Towards Future Global Challenges," enable the opportunity for us to broaden the scope of science's application for the benefit of future generations as well. The key objective of the symposium is to encourage a research culture among final-year bachelor's students through providing them the opportunity to present the findings of their final year project research. This symposium is a great platform for collecting and exchanging most recent information and developments on topics covering a wide range of disciplines. Thus, the organization of this symposium provides an opportunity to emphasize the relevance of science, technology, and engineering to everyone. Our primary goal is to provide a platform for final-year students to present their research findings, fostering knowledge exchange and advancements in the fields of Science, Technology, and Engineering. The poster presentations showcased cutting-edge research and solutions to critical challenges in STEM fields at FELS-US 2023. We are privileged to have alumni and industry experts as speakers, sharing their invaluable insights and experiences in their respective domains. Additionally, academic and industry poster evaluation panels have been assembled to assess our students' research findings and communication skills throughout the symposium.
