CELEBRATING
10 YEARS OF
NQBP!

DECEMBER 2019

On 2 July 2009, the ports of Hay Point, Abbot
Point, Weipa and Maryborough merged with
Mackay to become part of the new port
authority of NQBP.

This is our story so far!

2009 / 2010

Major Project work was underway for the MCF and
Dudgeon Point Projects

Tropical Cyclone Ului (Cat 3)

Sponsored 2 Indigenous apprentices.

Achieved ISO14001 certification at Ports of Mackay,
Abbot Point, Hay Point and Weipa.

Debbie McDonald celebrated her 30 years
Anna Bligh became the 1st Female Premier of
Queensland.

Melbourne Storm won the NRL Grand Final before
being stripped of their title!

2010 / 2011

75% of Queensland council areas were

Steve Lewis became NQBP’s 2nd CEO

(World Association for Waterborne
Transport Infrastructure)

Actively participated in the Mackay-
