Dear Team,
June has come and gone and we’re halfway through July, which means the year is halfway over. I would like to
commend everyone for the work you have put in this year. I have discussed on numerous occasions that our road as a
facility is this:

To be the best community hospital in the region by providing:
1) exceptional clinical quality &
2) a world class patient experience

In that journey, I am pleased to tell you that our focus on quality is showing great progress:
1) Risk Adjusted Mortality Index – Goal is to be below a 0.71 and for the month of June, we were 0.55.
2) CLABSI/CAUTI – our goal is to never have a CLABSI or a CAUTI  We have had neither since March of this year.

Good Catch Award – June 29, 2018

Akinwale recognized a change in the
patient level of consciousness. He
immediately called the physician on call.
A stat CT was ordered and the patient was
found to have a brain bleed with midline
shift. The patient transferred to ICU,
airway management completed and life
flight to another facility. Your critical
thinking skills resulted in a life saved.
