Stemmari Creato

Our new Stemmari Creato BIO Certified Organic line is the
result of consistent and constant efforts in our Sicilian
estates. Stemmari, in fact, has always focused on an
eco-friendly approach and since the planting of the first
vineyards, has become a pioneer of sustainability in Sicily -
applying the most innovative techniques and exploring new
practices that are only respectful of the environment.

The Heart of Sicily

Set on the splendid island of Sicily in the heart of the
Mediterranean, our vast estate is bathed in intense sunlight
with a climate of dry winds – ideal for the production of rich,
beautiful wines that are full bodied with unique fragrances
and aromas. They reflect the qualities of the island of Sicily
and its longstanding history as a Mediterranean paradise.

Our Winery & Vineyards

Stemmari is the first Italian winery to obtain the EMAS 2
certification (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), and we
are among the most sustainable wine production estates in
the world.
All processes onsite are managed with an eye for the
environment. We limit harmful insects and reproduction
using pheromones and the method of sexual confusion. The
vines are meticulously cared for to ensure perfect
ventilation and protection of the grapes.
On our estate, solar and photovoltaic panels are used for
electricity and water heating. The cellar is partially
underground, which guarantees allows us to control the
temperature and limit the consumption of energy used for
cooling. In addition, rainwater is collected and stored in 9
reservoirs onsite to provide litres of fresh, quality water per
acre. We have implemented a computerized drip irrigation
system to maximize the efficiency of water supply.
Our goal to transition to Organic or BIO production started
in 2016, but did not involve substantial changes to the
management of our vineyards and winery as we are a fully
sustainable vineyard operation and our company philosophy
has always been to produce wines

in harmony with nature.

The Stemmari Creato Wines

Our Creato wines are rich, harmonious and full of character.
They are reminiscent of the features of our land:

the sun, the soil and the sea

Tropical aromas of mango and Rich fruit flavors of wild Rosè of Nero d’Avola. Persuasive
papaya mixed with hints of white strawberries, currants and preserved aromas of blackberry and raspberry
flowers. Ideal pairing with seafood, cherries. It pairs well with baked with a fresh, mineral taste. Pairs
perfectly with appetizers, light
white meat, and baked fish. pasta dishes, red meats, lamb,
and cheeses. salads, and white meats.
