Let it fly

Tobyhanna’s annual Noontime Softball League Home Run
Derby was a smash hit for the participants and the spectators.
Clear skies over Legends Field served up perfect conditions
to the 20 sluggers looking to take home the title during
the contest held last Monday. In the end, Carl Stravinski
(pictured), representing team DLA (Defense Logistics
Agency), outlasted Production Management’s Scott Moore in
a playoff to win with a total of nine home runs. DLA’s Scott
Nordheim came in third place for the second straight year.
Stravinski exacted revenge on Moore after losing in a playoff
in last year’s event. Ed Abda, Frank Hill and Steve Kulick were
the event’s pitchers. Assistant League Commissioners Jason
Menago and Carly DeAntonio presented trophies to the top
