Emperor penguins live in the icy Southern
Antarctica region.

Emperor penguins eat fish, squid, and krill.

These penguins are 4 feet tall.

They weigh about 100 pounds.

Emperor penguins are the largest penguin in the
world. There the size of a small person. The dad has a
pouch in his throat just in case mom is at sea when
the baby is born. The pouch has a special protein in it
to feed the chick until the mom comes back.

Gentoo Penguins

Gentoo penguins live in the Antarctic region.

They eat fish , squid , and krill.

These penguins are 29.5 in. tall.

Adults weigh 18 pounds.

The eggs take 35 or 36 days to hatch and rearing
of the chicks takes about two months . Gentoos
live in warmer climate than other penguins.

King Penguin

King penguins live in Antarctica.

They eat squid, fish, and krill.

The length is up to 30 inches.

Their weight is up to 18 pounds.

King penguins lay only one egg. They are the
second largest penguin.

Little Blue Penguins

Little Blue Penguins live in New Zealand,
Tasmania, and Southern Australia.

Little blue penguins eat fish and squid.

Their height is about 12 inches.

Their weight is 2 ½ pounds.

Two interesting facts are that the female little blue lays
her eggs in an underground burrow or in a deep rock
crevice . Both parents take turns warming the eggs.
