THE LIFE OF JULIA
ALL ABOUT ME
My name is Julia Salcedo and I was born on November 16, 2004. I
don't really know what hospital I was born in but I know I was born
somewhere in the Philippines. Some of my teachers say that I am
goofy, athletic, and hyperactive. I guess that's true because I have an
outgoing personality and I sometimes tend to be very talkative. I am
always fidgeting with things and I get bored really easily. My favorite
sport is basketball and I'm always at Carson park every Monday and
Wednesday just to play basketball with some of my friends or my
cousins. Also my favorite sports team is the Golden State Warriors
and my favorite basketball player is probably Wardell Stephen Curry.
Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history and he's also really
kind. That dude is my idol. That’s pretty much all there is to know
about me, my life isn't really that exciting.
My First Friend
I'm pretty sure my first ever friend was my cousin, Jan Mark. I’ve
known him since I was a very little kid. I think I met him when I was
around 3-5 months old. My parents were friends with his parents and
we were neighbors. We got along pretty well and everyday after
school we would go outside and play basketball or some other games
with the kids in the neighborhood. Sometimes we would argue but
then it would be all okay the next day because we would forget what
we were arguing about. We got separated because moved into
California but we are still friends and my mom takes me to the
Philippines every year to see my friends and family.
My Sister’s 7th Birthday
My sister's birthday was probably one of the funniest days of my life.
It took place in a clubhouse near our house. On her birthday I invited
some friends over, their names were Katherine, Susan, and Destiny.
Destiny was the first one to come and we both FaceTimed Susan and
Katherine because they were late. Once they were there I invited
them to go eat before we did anything. After they ate I took them to
my house to play basketball because there were too many people in
the clubhouse. Of course none of them really knew how to play
basketball so Destiny ended up hitting my cousin’s head with a
basketball. It was pretty funny. Destiny was the first one to leave so
when she left I took Susan and Katherine back to the clubhouse to go
climb a tree. I knew for sure it was a bad idea when we were up the
tree and Susan decided to be an idiot and tickle Katherine while she
was on her phone, her phone ended up on the ground with the screen
cracked. Katherine didn't really care because she was getting a new
phone. I let them ride my bikes, scooters, and i also let them play in
the jumper. Around 7 Susan’s mom picked her and Katherine up.
My 11th Birthday
When I was turning 11 my mom took me to the Philippines to
celebrate my birthday. That day was probably one of the best days of
my life because I got to spend it with some of my family members
who i haven't seen in a few years. On my 11th birthday my family took
me to a swimming pool that I used to go to when I was a little kid. It
brought back a lot of memories. All I did that day was just swim and
hang out with my family. The pool had a bunch of slides and I on
most of them, when I was kid I wasn't allowed to go ride the slides
because I was too small so it made me happy that I got to ride some.
By the end of the day I turned really dark and I also think I got
sunburned because I forgot to put sunscreen on. Before we went
home we ate, it was a good day.
6th Grade Graduation Day
It was graduation day at Van Deene Elementary School and all the
6th graders were dressed in their very nice clothes, but not me. I just
wore what I would always wear to school, a Nike shirt, black pants,
Kyrie 2’s (shoes). Well anyways graduation didn't last that long almost
all the kids left after the ceremony and some went back to class. The
first the we did when we got to school was go to the auditorium. Our
principal called our names on the stage and gave us a certificate, I
think. After that some of our classmates made a speech which made
many people cry but not me. After the ceremony we were forced to go
outside and meet our parents. I know for sure my mom took a lot of
pictures of me and my friends, so did my friends’ family. It was nice
because some people even handed out food, I think I took around 5
bags of chips which I wasn't supposed to but it was all okay. We were
at graduation after all and it was our last day there. When most
parents went home some of the kids decided to stay at Van Deene.
Everyone was crying because it was probably the last day we all ever
got to see each other again since we weren't all going to the same
middle school.
