Page 1 of 3Page 1 of 3 Global Discounts – Family & Friends Rate - Document: Version 2, 18 th July 2022 Page | 1 Classification: Internal Global Discounts Policy Family & Friends Rate Jumeirah encourages colleagues to experience our facilities and would like to extend this benefit to Family & Friends of our colleagues. As well as being a great benefit, this helps to promote the brand and enables colleagues to share the Jumeirah guest experience with their wider Family & Friends. Eligibility As a Jumeirah Colleague, you can take advantage of this benefit upon completion of 6 months continuous service. You must be actively employed as a Jumeirah Colleague to qualify for discounted rates. This means that if you make a booking under Family & Friends Rate but leave employment before the date of arrival, no discount will apply, and the full rate will be charged. Please note that interns, agency workers, contractors and any other non-permanent workers are not eligible for Family & Friends Rate. In certain cases, you may not be eligible for discounted rates at the property where you work. Please check with your Human Resources Department for details of any local policy on eligibility. Discounted Room Rates The Family & Friends Rate is between 30% - 50% off the BAR. Additional offers at 30% - 50% off the Bed & Breakfast Rate and/or the Half Board Inclusive Rate may be available from time-to-time. This applies when a Family or Friends of the colleague is staying at a Jumeirah property without the colleague. Please note that Family & Friends Rate is inclusive of booking fees but is exclusive of tax and service charge. Details of the applicable taxes and other charges will be confirmed when you make your reservation. Guests staying at Family & Friends Rate who are Jumeirah One members are not eligible to earn Jumeirah One points on their room rate. However, they are eligible to earn Jumeirah One points on meals and other incidental expenses provided they are paying full rate for these services. Working in the hotel industry, we know you are often asked to arrange hotel stays for Family & Friends, which is why we offer Family & Friends Rate as an additional benefit. As there is limited availability, it is important that you only make reservations for your Family & Friends. Please note that abuse of this benefit, such as booking repeat guests under Family & Friends Rate or accepting commission for making a Family & Friends Rate reservation, is against Company policy and will be subject to disciplinary action. Family & Friends Rate does not apply to Company suppliers or service providers. Please refer to the Finance Directive ICD-006 Business Partner Rate for further details. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS • Reservations can only be made within 60 days of the arrival date. • There is a maximum of 2 discounted rooms per night. • The maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights, subject to availability. • Family and Friends Rate is available on selected room types only.


Page 2 of 3Page 2 of 3 Global Discounts – Family & Friends Rate - Document: Version 2, 18 th July 2022 Page | 2 Classification: Internal • Jumeirah colleagues may avail of the Family & Friends Rate when the Colleague Rate is not available. • Any non-compliant bookings will be charged at a rate to be determined by the company (BAR) through payroll and the booker may face other sactions as a result. • Blackout periods will be communicated annually. AVAILABILITY Availability of Family & Friends Rates are controlled automatically through the Company reservations system, based on the forecast occupancy of the Hotel. This means that discounted rates will be available provided that the Family & Friends reservation will not displace a guest paying a higher rate. There is an 85% occupancy threshold for the Family & Friends Rate based on the higher of ‘forecasted’ or ‘actual’ available hotel occupancy for each of the nights stayed. Family & Friends Rates are loaded centrally each year by the Global Distribution team. The reservations system interfaces directly with the Hotel Booking area on Mercury (see “Making a Reservation” below), so you can check up-to-date availability details online at any time. MAKING A RESERVATION & CHECKING-IN A reservation for Family & Friends Rates can be made: • Online through the Hotel Booking area on Mercury • Family & Friends Rates are not available on Jumeirah.com • Please note that a valid credit card is required to guarantee the booking at the time of reservation. Making a reservation is easy: • Check availability and make the reservation online through Mercury • Use a valid credit card to secure your booking • Receive the booking reference and confirmation • Your Family or Friends member must present the booking confirmation to the Guest Services team at check in. This is important, as they will be charged BAR if the documents do not meet requirements. CANCELLATIONS AND BOOK OUTS Any cancellations are subject to the hotel’s standard cancellation policy, the details of which are included automatically in the e-mail confirming your reservation. In cases where a Family & Friends reservation has been confirmed by the Hotel but would displace a paying guest due to unexpectedly high occupancy, book outs would apply on the same basis as standard Hotel policy. Standards of Behaviour All Family and Friends are expected to maintain the usual high Company standards of behaviour whilst staying at Jumeirah hotels. Policy Interpretation and Compliance • For any queries relating to this policy, please contact Corporate Human Resources. • The Corporate Human Resources team will be assisted in the interpretation of this Policy by the Company’s functional teams when necessary (e.g., Revenue Management).

Review and Evaluation This Policy will be reviewed and evaluated by the Corporate Human Resources team on annual basis, or when necessary. Effective Date This Policy will be effective from 1st January 2015. Revision Date This Policy was last revised on 18 th July 2022.
