Grooming Standards
Introduction to Jumeirah’s Grooming Standards
Dear Colleagues,
We want to create a working environment where each and every one of us can thrive, but to do that we
need to work together. As Colleagues, we are equally responsible for our company culture and image and
I know that your Generosity, Diversity, Flair and Uncompromising Spirit will bring this to life. In this
instance, through your grooming.
First impressions are very important in our industry, so it is vital that you have a welcoming smile, look
well-groomed and present a professional image at work. This is equally important if you work front or
heart of house. Maintaining these standards is part of our mission of curating unforgettable experiences
for everyone who walks through our doors.
As our Grooming Standards Guide is not all encompassing, management reserves the right to approach
any Colleague who displays an unprofessional appearance. This is to ensure that our professional
grooming standards are continuously maintained in every moment.
If you are unsure about your personal grooming standards, please approach your line manager or contact
your local Human Resources Department for further details.
The Spirit of Jumeirah lives in all of us!

Grooming Guideline Specifications
This guideline is to clarify the generic grooming requirements for Jumeirah Colleagues. The below
guidelines might vary based on the unique locations, requirements, and style (residential, resort, city,
lifestyle) of our properties.
Health Matters
Exceptional grooming starts within, and our lifestyle plays a part in that. Paying attention to your work-life
balance is essential to be able to perform at your best. Focusing on your physical fitness, following a
balanced diet and having enough rest will contribute positively to your well-being, how you feel at work
and to the image you represent when on duty.
Preparing Yourself For Duty
Professional grooming at work begins with your preparation at home. Make sure that your private attire is
conservative, and your shoulders and knees are covered when arriving to your business unit.
Follow the checklist below when getting ready:
· Is your hair neatly styled?
· Is your uniform/business attire clean and well pressed?
· Are your nails well-maintained?
· Is the bag you use to travel to and from work closed and not overfilled?
· Are your shoes in good condition and polished?
If all answers are yes, you are ready to go.
