The Most Exciting Moments Of My Life

Student Name: Grace Almeida
Period No: 2

Life Event I : Florida Real photo:

When I was 5, I moved to Florida. When I moved there,
everything was different. After a few weeks of living in
Florida, I went to a school with my cousin (I barely knew her
back then) and I started to hang out with her friends. It was
super awkward at first but after the weeks I lived there, I
started to get used to them. I was also starting like Florida
until I had to go to my uncle’s martial arts program. When I
went there, my uncle had some other kids help me with
something I didn’t even know what to do! I started crying but
at the end of the day I made some friends and then the very
next day my brother joined. He made everything annoying.
He always clinged onto me and wouldn’t leave me alone. He
even stole one of my friends. At the time, my mom moved
back to California to buy us a new house while my dad and all
of us stayed in Florida. We lived with my aunt and that is
when I started to get to know my cousin more. A few years
later, my mom called my dad saying that she found an
amazing house for us to move in and that we could go to
California to move into it and we went there. The day we had
to go was the saddest day of my life. When we got on the plane
back my cousin and I started crying and we promised each
other we would meet again so we exchanged stuffed animals
and moved here.

Life Event II : My trip to brazil

My trip to Brazil was very crazy. When we got onto the plane, my brother and I sat next Real photo:
to this woman who was very nice. She said she was going to Columbia instead of Brazil.
She was very nice. When we got off our first plane, we still had another one to go to.
While waiting in the Gate, I tried making origami but I failed and these people started
laughing at me but I laughed along too. When we first got to Brazil, we went to my
uncle's house. My aunt made the best fries ever and she even taught my dad how to make
them but I still think hers are better. There was almost no wifi there so we had to play
outside. I was kinda dumb back then so I went on a bike and went speeding downhill. I
fell but at least the bike wasn’t broken. About one month into our trip, we went to my
other uncle's house. When we went to his house, we met my grandmother. She had
diabetes and she was the whole reason why we even went there. There were some kids
there and I met some more of my cousins and they were younger than me but they were
still fun. I recall saying a curse word to this girl who was speaking gibberish to me
because she looked mad and tried taking my cousin. When we left my 2nd uncles house,
we went to one more place which was the farm. When we first got there, we saw tons of
crops. There were chickens and ducks in a cage at my aunt's house. And at night there
were mosquitoes. I never felt so free when we were over there. I even had my birthday
party there but I had a fever so I had to sit out. When we were over there, my aunt had a
chicken shop where you slaughtered chicken. My brother slaughtered one but I didn’t
even want to try. At my aunt's house, there was this huge tree that we named “The
Monkey Tree”. We would climb it each day higher and higher. We called ourselves the
monkeys. When we had to leave, there were tears and laughter but when I left, I was just
kinda happy to go home. This trip shaped me a lot because it taught me that family

Life Event III : Disneyland

This story takes place at my summer camp from 2017. My summer camp thought that it Real photo:
would be a great idea if they saved up enough money to go on a field trip to
DisneyLand. When they saved up money, all of the kids there were happy but me. I just
got terrified of all the rides popping up in my head and one of the older kids said that
there were no seatbelts on the rides. I wanted to stay home the day of the field trip but
my brother and his friends kept asking and annoying me to go until they made a deal
with me then I went. My summer camp was confused with everything. They ordered the
wrong bus and when we were supposed to get there at 9, we got there at 12. They didn’t
tell us to bring snack bags so my parents didn’t pack anything, and they didn’t have
enough tickets so one staff member had to pay for herself! The scariest part of this trip
was a ride called Splash Mountain (i think), when we went to splash mountain the lady
who operated the ride said that there were no seat belts. This scared me, all the other
rides had seatbelts but this one didn’t. I started crying so badly that some people in line
were watching me. I didn’t want to go but the oler kids said that it would be fun. Yeah,
it wasn’t fun. At the beginning of the ride there was a story about something saving
someone else. I started to think that the ride wasn’t too bad until the staff member I
was sitting next to said to hold on to the chair because we were “going down”. There
was the hill of doom I called it and when we went flying down that hill/waterfall, the
ride camera took a picture of all of us. When we got off the ride, I cried when I saw the
picture because I looked deformed and weird. This event changed my life because I take
more risks than I think I would have ever taken before.
