Bluefins in General
Bluefins is a swimming
school and swimming
club in Dar es Salaam,
Tanzania which boasts
of an ideal teaching
environment for both
children and adults,
and at the same time accommodates
swimmers and corporates as regular
swimming members. Bluefins has its own
swimming pool. Their facility is at an easily
accessible location in Upanga and comprises
of a clean swimming pool, changing rooms
and surroundings. The surroundings offer
high level of privacy in a quiet and relaxing
atmosphere whether for learning or leisure
swimming purpose.

with the opportunity to
learn swimming in a
fun, safe and positive environment. They
believe that every child has the right to be
safe and skilled in the water, considering the
fact that their country, Tanzania borders the
Indian Ocean on its Eastern coast and has
lakes and rivers all over which almost by
itself is a major reason for our children to
learn water safety and other swimming skills.
They also train children to become
competitive swimmers & offer them the
chance of participating in swimming
championships & swimming galas in &
outside Tanzania.

They also provide
swimming equipment
which are required for
swimming lessons such
as pull buoys, noodles,
diving sticks, diving rings,
diving discs, junior and
normal kickboards, all at no extra costs.
At Bluefins, every child will receive quality
instructions in equality.
All swim classes are conducted by
experienced, caring and qualified instructors
focusing on development in sequential and
progressive stages.
School Swimming Programs are held during
school terms and private swimming coaching
is also available throughout the year. Bluefins
provides a comprehensive swimming and
water safety program.

Staff Members
Mr. Rahim Alidina works as the
administrator at Bluefins. As the head
of operations, he maintains &
supervises cleanliness schedules
and pool maintenance. In addition, he
also purchases pool chemicals & keeps
stock of it. He also makes the staff
schedules, teaching & training time
table, duty roster. Furthermore, he
handles staff payments and
communication with clients, and
marketing.
Mrs. Shairoz Alidina usually handles
communication with clients. In
addition, she designs and supervises
wall paintings and other
designs at Bluefins.
Mr. Samwel works as the head
coach at Bluefins. He teaches and
leads all classes from beginners to
advanced. He usually leads the club
training sessions and makes the training
programs.

Staff Members
Mr. Hassani works as the assistant head
coach at Bluefins. He usually attends all
swimming meets to encourage the
swimmers. He selects the eligible
swimmers for a gala and helps Mr.
Samwel prepare the training program. In
addition, he also teaches all classes.
Mr. John works as the equipment
manager at Bluefins. He teaches all
classes, from beginners to advanced
levels. As his duty he makes sure, all
cases have the equipments they need.
Furthermore, he also returns and locks
the equipment's at the end the day.
Mr. Kiko usually lifeguards in the evening
and early morning. During the day, he is
incharge of the security of cars
parked a the Bluefins parking area, safety
of children & all swimmers in the parking
area.

Staff Members
Mr. Shukuru ensures the safety of all
swimmers. He assist in teaching
whenever required and the safety at the
gate, ensuring all swimmers arrive &
depart in a safe & orderly manner. He is
also responsible of the pool
maintenance which includes proper
running of pumps & filters.
Ms. Oswaida is the head of the
maintenance and cleaning
department. She makes sure the
washroom, changing room and the
pool are in general is clean.
Ms. Shanii usually assists, Ms.
Oswaida in the general cleanliness of
the pool area and surrounding.

help teach beginner swimmers.

done to prevent death of young children in
an event of flooding or a tsunami which can
