DR RUZIMI’S
Background

Ruzimi Bin Mohamed @ Mahmood He is the last child out of 10 siblings. He is
was born on 1985 in Kota Bharu, the only one who born with disabilities
Kelantan. He was born without both of among his siblings. Even with disabilities, he
his legs and his left arm. He got his early successfully graduated from UTM with
education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tengku Philosophy Doctor Degree (Ph.D) in
Indah Petra in Kota Bharu from standard Computer Science in April 2019. He started
one until standard six and proceed his studying at UTM in 2003 for Diploma in
secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Computer Science (Multimedia
Kebangsaan Kota Bharu from form 1 until Management) and continued his study to
form 5. After that, he went to Sekolah Bachelor of Computer Science (Information
Menengah Kebangsaan Ismail Petra for System Management) and continued with his
form 6 before he got offer from Universiti master in Master of Science (Information
Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Technology Entrepreneurship).

He want to be an inspiration for those with
physical disabilities to be further their study
or achieve their dream even when there is
obstacles that they need to overcome.

Dr Ruzimi have many influence around the world. This
also the key of his successful in business

KDERYRSUUZCICMEISSThere is also other entrepreneurship
achievements that he has gained like he
was the 2nd runner in MTDC Final
Business Challenge in 2019, the champion
of Road2Growth MTDC Business
Challenge in 2018, a start up in Johor
Ecosystem in 2018, the winner of Geran
Perniagaan Superb in 2017 and Finalist in
Indienomics Challenge. Overall, Dr.
Ruzimi is a creative and innovative person.

He is not someone who Dr. Ruzimi also have a
stay in their comfort dependable and supportive
zone but he challenge wife beside him.

dream instead.

The company started UTM who is really
off as clothes embroidery supportive in giving him
with the help of his friend guidance into
entrepreneurship world.
He is also are given the
right to be the organizer
of UTM's convocation
festival. UTM has been
giving him great helps
for him to finish his
study by giving a disable
person friendly environment.

DR RUZIMI

IMI Creative Sdn.Bhd now are more
focused on websites building and
motivational programs about technology
science. Other than that, this company
also created a Malaysia Sign Language
Interactive Book with an animated
character called BIMO.
The company now working on building
website and giving, motivational
programs about technology science and
create the book call malaysia sign
language interactive book.

DR RUZIMI One of the challenge he face is when he
was studying in University Technology
ISSUES AND Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. When he first

convenient for him to move around
This picture shows that even after because of his condition. After a few

him by giving him an electric wheelchair to

While studying in university, Dr ruzimi
having a hard time to move outside the
university to do his project or job that he
have. He need a friend that have a free
time to help him. This case also happen
when he open the IMI Creative Sdn.Bhd,
when he have a job at other company he
need his team to help him move around.
However due to the covid-19 that happen
recently, the company is right now run by
Dr Ruzimi only. All of his workers are
resigning because the company having a
hard time. He was hoping that this
pandemic will end soon so that he can
start hiring the workers either old or new
to help him.
When he first open IMI Creative Sdn.Bhd,
people who hire him could not believe
him when they saw his condition. They
didn’t believe that Dr Ruzimi will do a
good job in building website because of
their perception of people who born in
special condition can’t work. However
after they saw his job, they starting to
believe him.

DR RUZIMI Dr ruzimi once appear in newspaper. The title is “OKU
mencipta motosikal berkuasa bateri” which mean Dr
ruzimi once has create a tricycle powered by battery. He
build this tricycle to help those who needed like him. With
the help of his friends they manage to build it. However,
due to not achieve the expectation of the sponsor they have
to stop their project.
This is why people say “Don’t judge the book by its cover”.
After that his company continue growing and doing well.
We have to try to see from the work of people than their
look only. To face all of this challenge is mean not to give
up when the hardship come. This is what Dr Ruzimi want
to show to the world.

PROOF OF INTERVIEW

We held virtual interview with Dr Ruzimi Mohamed through
Webex meeting on 4 December 2020 at 9a.m. The purpose of the interview is to
get to know more about Dr Ruzimi and what have he done to get close to this
success in his condition. In the interview, we ask about Dr’s background, how he go
through all the hardship and how he achieve success also how his company doing
in this pandemic season.

Dr tell us about his family, how he face accessibility lacking in UTM
and how he achieve his dream and open his own company. We all delight that we
can have an interview with Dr even though only through online meeting. We were
hoping that Dr can get through this pandemic season and stay healthy with his
family.
